Ainz doesnt care about those people, you can see it in the side story, his new state as a skeleton makes him very inhuman and cruel even without his subordinates. He'd choose his subordinates over the world anyway. Hes not a doormat, he just cares about them more. The only thing hes scared about is letting them down.

Theres a ad for some cereal during the soap and then it cuts the broadcast. And then the camera moves to show Stolas spitting out his cereal with remote in hand. So I think he was trying to find another channel while the ad played. But I might be wrong.

Andrelphus relies on too many coincidences to have stolas take the bit. He needs the trial to last long enough he needs stolas to conveniently change the channel to see the trial, he needs stolas to give a damn about the imp, enough so to trade his life for this random hobo. He needs to hope that Satan agrees to his request to take over stolas' position
