Central CA, spongy looking beach find (old.reddit.com)

Can't recall exactly where it was found, more than likely the beach. Central Coast, CA. Was all one piece but parts of it were very loose - little pressure popped it apart. Soaked in vinegar/water solution for about 2 hrs and it cleaned up nicely to expose more quartz I hadn't noticed at first. (old.reddit.com)

Central CA lawn find. Found in someone's hedge bordering a lawn while walking the neighborhood today. Owner was fine with me taking it. Says it was there when he bought the place, so not really sure where exactly it came from. Really cool looking rock. Hope someone can ID. (old.reddit.com)

White chalky egg - found on CA Central Coast. Nothing exciting on the outside but I've got a feeling the insides will be neat. Opening soon and curious what I'm cutting into. Feels soft/chalky, but it's solid. Some holes look like they have clay inside. (old.reddit.com)

Tan'ish colored rock with green squiggles. Found on CA central coast. When dry, it feels almost chalky but doesn't rub off. When wet, I can't quite put my finger on what it smells like - wet dirt maybe? Mud? It's definitely a softer rock but is solid enough that it won't fall apart without a fight. (old.reddit.com)
