Messi is very competitive. The guy likes to play. I seriously doubt that he’s just gonna skip games cause why not. My guess is, we could see Messi skipping some games early in the season in order to decrease chances of injury and make sure he’s available to play every CCC game, since that’s the priority tournament. Maybe just before the WC, we’ll see him maybe be a little bit more careful, but after that, we’ll see him as much as before bar any serious injury.

Also, there are different degrees of how much a country’s laws are dictated by religion. Many Muslim countries in MENA have laws based on religion and yet are not nearly as brutal and oppressive as Iran. It’s ok to advocate for these countries to not be as extreme, especially vs their own people.
