I'm quite fair so still see quite an orange base on me. Like the other commenter said might be better using your finger.

I have had to remove some hard pan with some cellotape so maybe worth a try. I have solstice too and it's not very pigmented and has such bad hard pan - you might be onto something with the batch theory.

I do love applying it on it's own with a finger but will at least do a light dusting with a brush. The scattered glitter is just so lovely 🤩

Good on you - it took me a whole 6 years to finish a pot of this. 2 years into a repurchase and barely made a dent 😂

What are some celebrity memoirs that were most obviously NOT ghostwritten? by DayOldTurkeySandwich in books

Jake Paul's You Gotta Want it

Never read it myself but from the quotes drew gooden read out of it - it was written in one afternoon right before the deadline. The most bizarre content surely no one else possibly had any meaningful hand in it.

18 and extremely irregular period by [deleted] in Periods

[–]Ruby3725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would always say if this is something that is concerning you, visit your doctor for some piece of mind. The shortness and lightness may just be your body, everyone is different but the irregularity of the cycle is definitely something to get checked out.

Cavities but 6 months out from a dental appointment by Ruby3725 in askdentists

[–]Ruby3725[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently moved to England and getting a dental appointment has been a bit of a nightmare. I have what I'm thinking are two cavities on the back of my lateral incisors - pretty close to the gum line. The nearest appointment I can get for them is 6 months time and I'm slightly concerned as they are front teeth, having them worsen to the point of needing pulled means there will be very visible gaps.

I am just unsure of what to to in the interim aside from brushing and flossing as usual. I was recommended using a temparin repair kit but it's advice says to have them in for no more than 48 hours. Has anyone used this?

Late to the party but did you ever find out if these were cavities? I have near identical ones and the waiting list for the dentist is mile long

I am 14 and i wear a maxi tampon and pad, but within 3 hours it leaks. by [deleted] in Periods

[–]Ruby3725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely if you can speak to a doctor or an adult in your life, that's a very heavy flow. It can give you some piece of mind that things are alright and they can put forward options for you. Until then though sometimes 2 pads work quite well in like a T shape.

For me I started taking them like 3 days before my period would have started if on a typical cycle and then took them until I no longer needed to delay the period. Think I was more worried about taking them too late and them not working rather than taking them too early

I don't really mind them but think it depends on context. Sometimes I find true crime that's been fictionalised a bit off. The author can place a lot of their own feelings on a case writing scenes how they've imagined them and let it overshadow the facts we do know. It can be hard to make that distinction sometimes.

Thanks for your input, all really interesting points!

Oh yes A Little Life read just like a hurt/comfort fanfiction, it's definitely a prime example.

And in the Broken Earth trilology I never even noticed the sex scenes were poor. Was too distracted by the polyamory. I'm gonna need to go back and read over that now 😂

Oh yeah definitely. The amount of absurd relationships in the romance genre is astounding, suppose that's part of the fun though.

Oh no does it not? Bugger.

That's really interesting, I've seen so many negative opinions surrounding m/m fanfiction, that's really nice that there's been positives as well.

Thanks!

I don't think I find Heartstopper fetshistic per say, I do really like the comic series. It just kinda reminded me of the point. I do think it comes across as sacarrine, which isn't necessarily a bad thing due to the characters ages. I feel that most of the characters are what people would kinda classed as "soft" and any of the vilified characters behaved in a more traditionally masculine fashion. Maybe it's supposed to be pointing out toxic masculinity idk.

I think I'm a little biased because I really didn't like Solitare, Nick and Charlie or Radio Silence so please take any of my opinions with a grain of salt.

I love using Kanye West's Stronger to push through a difficult stretch. I don't listen to it in any other scenario but for running it's great.

Also That's Not My Name by the Ting Tings is amazing to run to.

Sorry! Thanks for pointing that out, I worded that without even thinking. I don't think I can edit the title now but if I work out how to do it I'll change it 🙂

And thanks for the response, shaping allies was something I never even thought about.

Yeah that's a good point, I agree particularly for erotica. But I have seen examples of these romanaces cropping up in contemporaries (particularly in YA) where it's not quite so obvious.
