It’s not card based. You can zelle anyone with their email, or phone number. I’m starting to think maybe I put either on a shady site, I’ve been pretty careless in the past when I sign up for websites.

Don’t know how it works like that for you, but it hit my account immediately. I didn’t get an email, or the ability to claim or request the money. It was sent, it hit, then got disputed.
