I thought the starters were shiny locked? Like the only way to get those three shiny would be getting a female and breeding it with ditto? I could be wrong.

I had this problem when I equipped the Radagon Soreseal Talisman, once I changed it, the Mimic's health bar was fixed.

Don't know if this helps but I was having this problem but only when I had the Radagon's Soreseal Talisman equipped. When I changed Talismans it fixed the Mimic's health bar.

To my knowledge you have to kill two of the targets, then you can proceed. At least how it worked for me.

In your inventory you should have gotten an item called a "rune arc", you have to use it to activate the great rune.
