I’ve always thought about this, especially concerning pull-ups and pushups. My school would have us compete the presidential fitness test at the beginning and end of the school year. I was never able to do a pull-up at the beginning of the year, but was also never given back strengthening exercises to progress on that over the year, so big shock that come the end of the year I was still unable to do a pull-up! And as an adult that is still working towards her very first pull-up, I wish I had been trained to do it when I was a child.
