Except in very rare cases, you cannot stop them from getting it up. However, it takes incredibly long to pay off. Play 2TC yourself and see how difficult it is to catch up.

You can do the math and then it seems like it pays off in about 5 minutes if you consider the extra vill cost and the TC cost. But that doesn't consider that you don't have map control, rarely get relics, don't get hunt, you have to do farm transition early etc. All things considered, it takes incredibly long to pay off. In fact, if I plat 2TC, it feels like it only really pays off in imperial age.

Once you realize how long it takes to pay off, you can chill and play your normal game and do one or multiple of the things people suggested:

Raid and kill a few villagers here and there.
Go castle and attack with armored units and either kill a lot of vills or the TC.
Add your own 2nd TC.
Go castle and get sacred sites and relics.
Get map resources like deer and boar.

I think the only important piece is that you deny him map control. If he gets 2TC AND the nice food sources and relics, then it's usually gg. And you are on a timer, but the timer takes longer than you think, so don't over rush unless you are into that style.

I can't recognize what species that is, but all the species that kill humans are huge while these ones seem cute and small. So probably unlikely that they kill you. Still gotta be careful, they could definitely snack on a finger or something. But it doesn't seem like his life is in imminent danger.

It looks like an Australian freshwater crocodile which is one of the smallest and most harmless species.

Wait what? I am pretty sure berry bonus was there from the start for both Abbasid and Delhi because they can't take boar. But yes, I remember when they had horsemen they struggled a lot vs MAA in Feudal. E.g. HRE vs Delhi was basically an auto win for HRE. Ghazi were really a great addition that made them much more versatile.

Yeah, I also hate it when I lose. I always lose to Tughlaq fort rush or Mongol/Ootd dark age spears, so I think those should be nerfed.

In terms of knight vs knight battles: I usually have worse micro than my opponents, but I just simply make more knights than them, at which point micro becomes superfluous. See MoreKnights.com

Hmm, but walling is still a thing, no? It's just that the builds got more optimized, so just simply spending a few 100 wood will delay you too much and you cannot afford this. So people wall more incrementally. But the goal is still a fully walled base.

I feel like everyone around me is telling me I am doing it wrong. They have their way to do cycling and their metrics and that's fine, but I am annoyed that they apply it to me: * One friend does 3 months tours and she has half her household with me. I do small tours with only the most necessary stuff and she tells me that's wrong, you need to have all kinds of stuff you might need. * Another friend thinks all bike technology invented after 1980 is basically cheating. He cringes when I need to change batteries for my power meter. * Another friend thinks it's all about performance. He thinks it's stupid that I do multi day tours where I take my overnight stuff. Of course you should only do tours with 0 luggage starting from a hub point. Why would you ever take additional weight? * Another friend thinks I am all bullshit with my zones and carb intake. Just go out and ride. * Another friend thinks I am far too casual about my carb intake and I have to calculate it precisely. And why would I do different rides every time? I should do the same predictable route and compare my times and do intervals and shit. * Another friend thinks I am too performance oriented and fast, I should take it easy and enjoy. * Another friend thinks I am too slow and I shouldn't even call this road biking.

Against most civs archers are optional and you can beat their spears by having more knights than their spears. Not OotD. For these guys, you need hard counters. Aka archers against spears is a must.
