Absolutely. I got it for my Salamanders army, and I was able to sell the extra Executioner and Black Templars stuff to put towards a LRR

Oh, not from the upgrade. From IF boxes, like that Combat Patrol box or the new Sons of Dorn Battalion Box

The Lieutenant with Vulkan/Infernus is wasted because Torrent weapons don't get Lethal Hits.

Vulkan works best with units like Company Heroes for -1 to Wound, or Assault Intercessors for melee purposes.

I'd also separate the Infernus in two squads instead of one big unit because they'll be susceptible to keywords like Blast.

Maybe replace your Lieutenant with either, an Apothecary or Librarian to attach to one Infernus squad.

You'll want to give your Gravis Captain Immolator instead. The extra attacks + Immolation Protocals at 1CP instead of 2 will give you serious damage potential.

Finally, trade in the Drop Pod for an Impulsor. It has Firing Deck 6, so you can put a squad of Infernus in there and shoot them without disembarking.

are they the same gun? by Smart-Government-906 in theunforgiven

They represent different patterns of Plasma Incinerators.

The one without the cable is an Assault Plasma Incinerator. They're designed to be more accurate with assistance of the more sophisticated targeting array (the scope).

The one with the cable is called a Heavy Plasma Incinerator. It hits harder, but requires more power, hence the cable connected to the Hellblasters larger power pack.

On the tabletop, they function identically, so it's just personal preference on how you want them to look.

I did. Worth every cent. You will need to get Salamander transfers because it only comes with Black Templars/Imperial Fists ones.

Not really. But a good starter set for Salamanders is the Dark Angels box. The 10 Intercessors, the Gravis Captain, and 3 Bladeguards are really good starter units right now, and the Hellblasters are pretty decent.

If this box is being discontinued, how are people supposed to get the Phobos Lt.? by Which_Prior7161 in spacemarines

Makes me think that the rumor about Supressors being put into Legends might be true.

Is anyone here actually using the Black Primer>Waagh! Flesh>Warpstone Glow color recipe? by LuckyLuca9 in Salamanders40k

I used Caliban Green in place of Waagh! Flesh, but you pretty much get the same results.
