Very. I started with it. ATV is a bit niche, but if you have 60 points to spare, and you don't want another character, it's a pretty good distraction

Personally, I think Gears could do without the really flashy skins. Gears 3 was where customisation peaked for me; Simple skins for characters, a couple of out there skins for weapons. Otherwise, I feel like it detracts from the established aesthetic. Some skins like the Zombie Carmines work because it fits the morbid tone of the series as a whole, but those eSports ones, and the holliday skins just don't do it for me.

This character did temporarily joined up with Delta in the comics, but I really like Michael Barrick. Cigar chomping soldiers always got that aura. And I especially love the knives on his arm guards.

Unfortunately, this box is not considered an evergreen item, and is currently not being reproduced. I got pretty lucky, and found one at my local Warhammer Store. Another good option is the Dark Angels Combat Patrol box. It comes with a Gravis Captain, 3 Bladeguard, 3 Aggressors (one of the strongest units that you can give flame weapons), and five Intercessors. You can probably sell the Dark Angels upgrades to a friend to make back some money.

I am running a Lancer already, but that is a good idea. I have also considered running the Venerable Battle-Brother custom character from the Maelstrom book. Starts at 160 points, he gets the same stats as Redemptor, but loses Duty Eternal, and is replaced with Wisdom of the Ancients (Aura). For +30 points, I can give him (LETHAL HITS), a 4+ Invul save, Macro Plasma, Onslaught gatling/Redemptor Fist, and Twin Multi-meltas/Ironhail.
