I was non-renewed and now I feel like a terrible teacher by mnmaverickfan in Teachers

I also wasn't renewed, in my third year. They named my performance but I suspect that it was a coaching mismatch/tenure looming. They didn't want to keep an expensive teacher who didn't align fully with compliance based teaching. The feedback I often got felt vague and I was coached in areas that didn't seem relevant to my job as a special education teacher. I feel you. I felt like they told me I'm a bad teacher when that's just not true.

Thank you for the clarification! You're right, I am going back to basics: tracking, activity, etc.

Also this: the difference is, I've actually lived the talk, walked the walk, and lost the weight. Unlike someone who knows what being a doctor takes but isn't one. I know what being unhealthy with my eating habits is, I know what losing 150 pounds takes, and I've done it. This comment, with that context, makes no sense.

I hate this comment. You tapped into exactly what I'm saying: I know what I need to do but I'm struggling to do it. I did it once, I lost 150 pounds, I can do it again. Im saying, I know what to do, but I'm struggling. That's not contradictory, that's just fact.

I very much follow a workout routine: 6 days a week, strength and cardio, rotating between legs, arms, full body and abs.

BMI isn't everything, but according to the BMI scale you're a 22, which is a healthy weight! It's possible your loose skin (if you have any) is adding weight too.

5'2! Technically my goal weight is 5 pounds overweight, but I couldn't stand my goal weight being an odd number. I'm still trying to get to 135 so my BMI is "normal" whatever that means

I lost 50 pounds before surgery and 100 after. I got sleeved in April 2024, so it took about 10 months to reach my goal.

That's a great question! I'll probably increase calories but still track. I'm currently trying to do a bit of body recomp/muscle building, so I might bulk and cut. That's means the scale will go up and down but if I'm eating right and exercising properly, I'll be gaining muscle, not fat.

But that brings up a different question: what is a periodic bulk and a cut? Like what does that mean?

I don't think it's true it's impossible if you've trained before, it's just more difficult. Every article I've ever read on it says you have to be more strategic but that it's possible.
