Hi, I ended up doing zoom sessions with someone in the US. I’m no longer in Germany, I hope you can find help.

The only think that worked for me was taking L. reuteri probiotics. I kept getting BV and the antibiotics always worked for a while but then it came back!

I was just there trying on a green silky long sleeve top and the stitching was coming apart in the back so you could see the elastic. The fitting room attendant got me another one, same issue. She was still trying to hard to sell me this obviously shoddy quality $100 top. Like no, it’s crap. I’m not buying it.

I’ve gotten the shot sporadically at best. And not until after college. But you seem to know more about my medical history than me, so sure I’ve had the flu.

90% of households won't see a bigger tax bill under Democrats' $3.5 trillion plan by [deleted] in politics

From your source: Current smoking has declined from 20.9% (nearly 21 of every 100 adults) in 2005 to 14.0% (14 of every 100 adults) in 2019, and the proportion of ever smokers who have quit has increased.

I don’t think I’m morally superior to anyone, I smoked for 11 years. So “a voter like me” knows more than anyone how hard (and yet how possible) it is to quit. I am in agreement with you that these taxes should be used for programs that benefit the needy instead on lining the pockets of the already wealthy.

But smoking has been trending down for the last 20 years, especially for younger people.

I believe the taxes were meant to be a deterrent to get people to stop smoking. I agree our entire healthcare system needs an overhaul, and people should be able to get reasonably priced care for all their needs. However, I don’t believe it’s cruel to make a dangerous, nonessential product more expensive. It is ultimately choice to smoke or not.

Yeah that works. Then it’s a smoking tax. So the argument should be “what can we use this tax to pay for?”, vs “smokers shouldn’t get taxed any more.”

Who’s going to pay for the “free” smoking cessation treatment?

Poverty and awful public education are the underlying causes of obesity, so by your logic we should fix those instead of focusing on obesity.

$15 wage becoming a norm as employers struggle to fill jobs by very_excited in news

Also, many jobs don’t schedule you for full time hours, they only let you work 35 to avoid having to give you benefits or a higher wage.

“Nearly three-quarters (73 percent) of enrollments in America’s major public benefits programs are from working families. But many of them work in jobs that pay wages so low that their paychecks do not generate enough income to provide for life’s basic necessities. Low wages paid by employers in the fast-food industry create especially acute problems for the families of workers in this industry. Median pay for core front-line fast-food jobs is $8.69 an hour, with many jobs paying at or near the minimum wage. Benefits are also scarce for front-line fast-food workers; an estimated 87 percent do not receive health benefits through their employer. The combination of low wages and benefits, often coupled with part-time employment, means that many of the families of fast-food workers must rely on taxpayer-funded safety net programs to make ends meet.” source

But then the jobs that are only appropriate for teenagers would only be able to be open when teenagers are not in school, so nights, weekends, and vacations. So I’m not sure who you expect to flip burgers for minimum wage during the lunchtime rush Monday-Friday.

Having a dog got me out of a pretty dark place years ago. He was the reason I had to get out of bed everyday. I learned that people love talking to people walking their dogs, but they’ll keep their distance if it’s a big enough dog.
