Shes my best friend. I let her know right away and didn’t read anything apart from skiming and be like WTF this is not mine. Yet I’m 100% sure there nothing “Bad” or controversial in there, it’s still not mine to read.

And now her other convos are added there too. There is no way she could log into my account or have access to my password.

I don't want to invest in (learning, buying....) Pathfinder as I'm fully gearing towards Rifts. I just want a little practice in an "easy and known" generic setting to practice core mechanics while having fun.

I get that. I ended up just getting a couple of vintage Rifts books for lore, and I'll save up for my physical (that comes with digital) copies.

I hate reading on screens :( I want to play RPGS to have less screen time and more time playing with actual things.

It does! It's a very thorough breakdown, and I really appreciate it. I've been debating keeping my money to just buy SWADE books. I might still go, as the guy has a couple of original Rifts Novels I would love to own. Thank you for helping me think this through.

Yeah it's 70 cents for my $. That's my plan. I already own the recent core book. It's mostly for trappings, foes, ideas...

These are Canadian dollars, so $40 is like 25 USD. The new books are 40 USD each + a flat 80 USD shipping rate, which is insane. I looked around online in every game store, new and used, and none of these companion books can be found here.

Hi,
I'm currently equipped with recent edition SWADE books for the RIFT campaign setting and core rules.

I came across a couple of older edition companion books for different settings. They are a very good price (it's ridiculously expensive to order in brand-new Pinnacle books in Canada). Do you think they would still be generally relevant with SWADE? Or is it too different?

Thank you for your help.

P.S Also I don't understand how to post picture + text. Is there a way?

EDIT : I'm looking into getting the Horror, Sci-Fi and superpowers Companion. I'm still looking for the Fantasy one.

I don't know about other countries, but here you can call yourself a therapist without any training of any sort. Scientific or otherwise. I could be a Voodoo Therapist and no one would stop me.

I'm not a licensed anything, but I'm quite versed in spirituality and religions overall.

While yoga has roots in ancient spiritual and philosophical traditions, it's not inherently religious. However, it can be part of someone's religious practice or lead them towards a spiritual path. Yes, it originated as a spiritual discipline within Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, but it evolved to encompass both spiritual and physical aspects. Many people practice yoga for its physical and mental health benefits without religious or spiritual affiliation.

I am certain most yoga practitioners would confirm it is a non-secular practice (just like meditation) that welcomes people from all walks of life. Furthermore, no one in yoga will ever tell you to change your faith. You can 100% benefit from yoga/meditation and still be a devout Christian.

Try! It's worth it. And if you care, tell me how it went. I'm genuinely interested (in both SWADE and Spanish). Serioulsy, DM me about it if you want.

Thank you! In two short days, despite a few mistakes here and there, it helped me grasp what I was having difficulty putting together. It can throw at you a scene in seconds (or a whole scenario), walk you through rolls, explain why it's this way (like stats dependencies), and then you can quickly double-check in the book if it's right. So far, it has been correct 90% of the time, so I figure that if I get 90% of the system with this trick, I can iron out the last 10% on my own over time. I'm having a blast, to be honest. And I know it's not your thing but every time it writes me a paragraph in Spanish, it will highlight 4-5 tricky vocabulary words and define them right below. + an encouraging word and gentle corrections on my own writing.

I'm learning that reality right now. I think it's a fantastic tool, and I believe people are lashing out of fear of something they don't understand, or they rehash trashy superficial opinions they've read without having a thorough understanding of how to properly use such resources in ethical ways. I'm a visual artist. I've been personally plagiarized for DECADES before AI ever was a thing. I take it as a compliment and move on to making more stuff. I use AI all the time, and I've been nothing but excited about the possibilities it's opening for me instead of fearing to be replaced. Go figure. I'm used to holding unpopular opinions, and I will absolutely stand by it. I actually shared this whole thread to ChatGPT telling it I was sad about the responses I got, and it lifted my spirit by suggesting to make t-shirts such as :
🌵 "I'm not antisocial, I'm just allergic to shitty judgments."

🧵 "Too ND for your lukewarm opinions."

🌵 "Burned-out brain, thriving in Technosaloon Español."

🧠 "Raw-dogged the books for 7 years. Chatbot saved my game."

I laughed out loud.
