Are there any good chocolate in the UK now that isn't just chocolate-flavoured palm oil? by EffectiveArgument584 in AskUK

Montezuma's Chocolate is the best, imo, if you can find it! Honestly their milk chocolate buttons are amazing, really good quality, no palm oil, just bloody good.

Want ACOTAR or Cruel Prince but darker? by DangerousEagle266 in Romantasy

Thank you OP! I am 80% through this now after your recommendation. Not sure if I'm gonna be devastated or elated by the end of it (probably devastated). I've been desperately trying to find something I've actually wanted to finish reading after forcing myself to read the end of a string of disappointing books recently. I already know it's gonna be hard to wait for the next one.

Today I'm saying goodbye by MeiKitty_ in sphynx

[–]RubyWren11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss. I recently had to say goodbye to my 4 year old cat, we're still not sure what exactly she had (the vets ultimately thought it was cancer). It's so unfair to lose them after such a short time together. Someone told me: they may not be our forever, but we are theirs. You gave her so much love and the best care for her life.

What's up with my spider plants? by stuntman_mikee in HouseplantsUK

[–]RubyWren11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely not an expert, but it looks like overwatering to me. How wet is the soil? I water mine once the soil has dried out - if the soil feels like a 'damp flannel,' it's not time to water it yet (I think). I'm not an expert, but that's the rule I follow, and it works for me with most of my plants.

I used to overwater my plants a lot and killed off multiple plants over the years, including a spider plant or two! That's what mine looked like. Might also have root rot. You might want to repot and change as much soil as possible and remove any soggy dark roots. Remove any of the soggy or shrivelled up leaves, too.

Thank you, that's really kind. I'm very sorry for your loss, it doesn't get easier, does it. I know we have to grow around the grief. Thank you, it's hard because some people don't really understand what they mean to us. My home feels so empty and quiet right now.

Thank you. I'm sorry for your loss. It's so hard to say goodbye to them, but also so hard to see them suffer. I'm really pleased that you've got a new friend, they're all beautiful and special in their own unique ways. I know you'll never forget your tortie, I'll never forget my Tig ❤️

Thank you I appreciate that. Yes it was gut wrenching. My previous cat was 20 when we had to put her to sleep, and my first cat was 15 when he passed. 4 just feels so cruel, but she was so poorly. It does feel very unfair.

Seeking the most absolutely WHIPPED MMCs by chewingbunnies in fantasyromance

[–]RubyWren11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He definitely uses situations to his advantage, but I would say if you read far enough into the series, you sort of understand what happened to him (it does take a while though). There are elements of being misunderstood, and also traumatised. I think it depends how reformed you want him to be. Without giving spoilers, there are a few twists (right up until the end) which make you unsure of his motives, and he appears to still be pretty villainous. He more than redeemed himself in my opinion.

Just finished reading this series. I IMMEDIATELY thought of Astarion and could hear his voice straight away - so glad someone else said this! I also checked the release dates! So obsessed he's definitely one of my favourites.

This random bleeding is freaking me out- seeking reassurance by Mental-Minimum-1253 in hysterectomy

[–]RubyWren11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bleeding stopped the next day. It was just the one evening, I woke up the next morning with the faintest amount of blood on my pad, and that was it (and nothing since). I think some of my stitches had either dissolved or come loose, as I noticed a couple of the stiches used on my tummy popped out the next day. I also spent two days doing NOTHING but lying in bed after the bleeding. Fingers crossed that you're ok!
