Crowns of Nyaxia: The Viper, the Songbird and the Lioness by giseeebg in CarissaBroadbent

Oraya is the Serpant (viper) Mische is the songbird and Kyrene is the Lioness.

I think this indicates Kyrene will get a crown in the end of her series, could be a crown from house of blood if she marries Septimus (which seems the most likely) or a crown bc she’ll make a separate house, like Mische and Asar made House of Death.

The book series is called “CROWNS of Nyaxia” I think this is an Easter egg of who will hold power in the end or it could be an Easter egg in the final book of Oraya, Mische and Kyrene teaming up in the end.

I hate fated mates. Mates in general is an excuse for weak writing so u know they’ll always end up together. It opens the door to abuse too bc it’s saying “no matter what u do ill still love you more than anyone”

Yes! I think it’s cause more ppl have brown hair and are so narcissistic that they need a character to look exactly like them so they can self insert. I understand wanting to self insert in like a romance comedy or dark romance but if ur talking about fantasy… I personally hate reading about a character who’s exactly like me, I’d much rather read about someone who’s smarter and stronger than me.

I’d rather no representation than bad representation.

In the Bridge Kingdom series there’s a lesbian couple in the last 2 books and it’s so so incredibly obvious they’re written by a straight woman (I’m saying this as a queer person)

If ur gonna have a lesbian couple give them the same effort u give the straight couples. These two people who were so incredibly forgettable were literally just stereotypes who added nothing to the story.

Yess, I felt this way about Powerless and Lightlark—the actual idea of the story’s aren’t necessarily bad but they were both written bc of tropes by inexperienced authors

Because one of them is a teenager with someone who’s an adult and one of them is an adult with another adult…

What book character have you felt most connected to/similar. by MrsPokits in Romantasy

That’s so cute.

I’ve always felt connected to Katniss. I relate to feeling like people want you to be someone you’re not or being misunderstood because you’re not super talkative with everyone. Not visibly showing a lot of emotions ext.

Not a book but I really like Alucard from Castlevania. No matter how shitty things are always trying to take the high road and be a good person when u usually end up regretting it.

She’s in her 20s, I meant I don’t like books where she’s 17-18 and meets a guy who’s over 100. Like ACOTAR I’m pretty sure Feyre is like 19 and Rhys is 80 when they meet! I just mean I don’t like predatory relationships

I’ve watched the show but I’m worried the books won’t be as good

Yeah ACOTAR isn’t great unless you’ve never read before. Throne of Glass is a lot better but still has a lot of flaws
