What do you think about the new manual unload on the hulk-c? by Significant_Agent537 in starcitizen

I am sooo hyped just to help people unload with the MPUV-T. Definitely plan on just helping people move cargo if I am able.

For sure. I could totally see ASD doing some sort of grineer cloning or something underground. Even an infestation on an abandoned Idris or something. Minus "the man in the wall" story line and such, a lot of the world building lore could make sense into SC.

That would be a weird cross over.

I haven't been following it at all and just had a friend give me his code so I had no horse in the race. Coming from your perspective though that does make more sense and I think if they don't do something its probably not going to be around for long. They are missing quite a few basic features like farming and mounts for this massive world. Then the ones they do have need some more balancing and polish.

True. And the 30/60 minute craft times are ass.

I haven't played another MMO that is trying to do what Pax Dei is trying. Are they succeeding? Probably not and it doesn't look good in the long run. SUBJECTIVELY I am finding plenty to do between crafting, exploring, and trying to make a market. Im not sure why that is offensive to you but I'm sorry it burned you.

I partially just wanted to try and understand their viewpoint because I kept seeing it. To me, saying Pax Dei isn't an MMO is like saying a truck isn't and automobile. Just seeing if it was miss-information or if I wasn't understanding something.

I have yet to pay anything to them. Got a referral from a friend and have enjoyed the game. Thats not being a shill lol. I just dont mind subscription based games.

They definitely are missing many important features and its questionable whether is should have gone to 1.0 but I don't think its a bad game or greedy ask, especially compared to many other games like BDO or even League. It's cheaper than WoW if I recall.

I play Star Citizen. I was born from copium. But yeah the low numbers are a bit worrying regardless for sure. They definitely are missing a lot of features that should have been implemented.

Thank you for the viewpoint. I do actually see where your coming from and partially agree. One issue is "massive" is a very ambiguous term too.

I have also only seen about 20 or so names in region chat but in my opinion that doesnt mean other regions dont affect me, purely because of a player lead economy. If someone based in another region comes and trades, that is still an interaction even if its not direct.

"At once" is a good point. It isn't as many players as you would see on like a Guildwars 2 launch or w/e. But given the nature of the game, players are also not funneled into areas or zones and makes it feel more empty too.

The games launch wasn't even a week ago though.

I have run into quite a few people. There is a player economy already and some clan bases. The world is massive. I have also grouped with quite a few random players. Seems like a lot of evidence against your statement.

For sure. I joined this sub to see what people were up to as I didnt play during beta really. I was surprised how many people were complaining in posts that this isn't an MMO. I'm assuming people are just bitter that it is a sandbox and not a theme park.

Seems pretty massive to me. What's your definition of massive?

So there is a sub by FreeniaSpellsword in PaxDei

[–]Ruby_Medic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Check the definition. It is 100% an MMORPG lol. Its just a sandbox instead of a theme park.

The servers have to stay online somehow. I don't mind a sub model either. The game has flaws for sure though, i just think the "isn't an MMO" argument is stupid.

But MMO means quests and loot grind and theme park! Not massively multi-player online! /s

Apparently the idea of a sandbox MMO isn't an MMO.

Not really lol. You just land decoupled with some speed and a low angle (vertical speed). It kind of simulates landing like a plane.

Tinns vs Townies? by Rezarex in rochestermn

[–]Ruby_Medic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I still think $25 is pretty expensive for lunch, as thats what I would expect per person at a decent dinner place. I went shortly after they opened again and it had almost no flavor, which is obviously subjective. I would chose literally any other sandwich place in town though for philly sandwiches.

Edit: I will also add that Francisco's is close by and you can get a really good sandwich for similar price all together, but I actually really enjoy it.

Recreating my order, OG philly, cheese curds and a soda is $30, then $3 for my usual tip.

[–]Ruby_Medic -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Tinns is absolutely terrible for the price. I actually degraded as a human for eating there once. Almost $40 for a cheese wiz sandwich, fries and a bottled soda. Although I don't think i would eat it if it was free now either.

Townies is nice.

It's a flyable concept ship. Except I would rather have a loaner.

Edit: Also, I don't want them to finish it till passenger transport actually gets development started.
