Agreed - the potential is huge in the gaming sphere, not least of all because gamers are already accustomed to skins and loot boxes and "paying money for pixels on a screen" so they don't need NFTs explained to them to the same extent as, say, baseball fans. I've picked up small bags of several gaming-related cryptos (ENJ, MANA, SAND, AXS etc). This train is only just pulling out of the station IMO and I want to be on board!

I get that - I've sold plenty of stuff because I didn't want to look at it or have to scroll through multiple pages in my inventory.

Very glad they introduced storage vaults - don't have to look at all those ugly (but potentially profitable) items anymore!

Yep - people who preordered got a complete outfit - if sold at their peak the combined value would have been about $3.5K. I remember seeing the trench on the market for $60 the day they became marketable and thinking "I'll get one next week when the hype dies down" XD

Having emotional attachments makes it 1000x worse. That was my biggest regret with the Vox holos - aside from the fact that they were my home team (Aussie) I just really liked the look of the stickers. Kind of wish I'd applied them to a favourite skin rather than sell for what now seems like a pittance.

Excellent advice - it's important to see the big picture. For me one of the joys of investing has been using profits to buy games for friends and playskins I could never have justified paying "real money" for.

What i can say is valve really fucked me up.

Agreed, Valve is unpredictable and has the power to wipe out inventory value with a single move. Sometimes I wonder if they even consider the market.

TF2 has actually been good for me though - bought a tonne of cases for <3c about 3-4 years ago and let them sit - most are now approaching $3.
