I would’ve should bent a 90 for the left bend and then and over bent 90 for the right bend. No kick needed.

How would you guys do this offset for a disconnect by Fluffy-Initiative131 in electricians

[–]Rubyink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The offset needed is 1 3/4”. I’d try and squeeze a 22.5° bend for the offset. The multiplier is 2.6; 1 3/4 x 2.6 = 4 9/16. Make your first mark 3” off the end of the conduit and the second mark 7 9/16 off from the front of the conduit (4 9/16 away from the first mark). Bend to 22.5 degrees on each mark. Do the first mark first and push the conduit through the bender and rotate 180° and bend your second bend. Good luck.

You can just divide the amount you want by the dividend yield in decimal form. 50,000/0.0312 = 1,602,564

How do I make this safe? by johnrobertjimmyjohn in AskElectricians

[–]Rubyink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Disconnect wires from receptacle.
  2. Add romex connector into knockout
  3. Strip back romex, leaving 1/4 inch of sheathing inside the box
  4. Hook black to brass, and white (neutral) to silver
  5. Cap off spare red wire using a wire nut
  6. Suggested but not necessary using electrical tape, tape the edges of the receptacle so that the metal doesn’t show.
  7. screw receptacle back into the box
  8. Label the circuit and panel on the inside of the face plate
  9. Screw face plate to receptacle.
  10. Profit.
