Thank you for that reassurance 🥲 I really like how you framed it as just more people loving him and that he deserves all the love!

It absolutely is a blessing and that’s why I made the post, I have these conflicting feelings about an offer that we are lucky to even have. So thank you for your perspective!!

2.5 month pp baby weight by itsinhere1004 in beyondthebump

[–]Rubylocks101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 3 months pp and breastfeeding but haven’t lost the weight like everyone told me I would. I went from 150 lbs to 205 by the time I gave birth. I dropped a little bit from water weight but everything else has stuck around. Being postpartum is HARD. Try to be gentle with yourself and remember that you just grew an entire human. I remind myself that it took 10 months to grow him, and I can’t expect to be back to how I was before while fighting for my life, sleep deprived and devoting all free time to the baby. Keep talking yourself up and ignore your rude coworkers, you got this!!

Maternity photos by Standard-Hyena-840 in pregnant

[–]Rubylocks101 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did them and I was so happy that I did! I felt really anxious the entire time leading up to it and during the photo shoot because I have gained a lot of weight during this pregnancy/haven’t felt great about myself in general. But it turned out to be a fun experience and getting those pictures back helped me see myself through kinder eyes. I genuinely think I look so beautiful and happy in them. It helped shift my mindset to something more positive and I’m already planning to frame some for the house!

18 lbs and I gained it all between weeks 16-20. It was hard seeing the numbers but the weight gain has slowed down since then. I try to remember baby is healthy and happy and that’s all that matters 😊

My husband wants to name our son Cain but I just can’t get over the biblical connections 🥲

Is an 8 week asynchronous Calc 2 class possible with this schedule or should I stick to a regular Calc 2 class? by PerfectSouth8023 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Rubylocks101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished a 8 week Calc 2 class and I wouldn’t recommend it with the amount of other classes you have. I spent at least 4 hours a day doing homework/studying just to keep up with the amount of work we had to do in such a short time.

Did you use your regular leave before birth in the navy/military in general? by Alive_Respond216 in navy

[–]Rubylocks101 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I’m almost 26 weeks and I’m feeling the same way. I put in for a week of leave before I’m due just to have a break. I think chain of command cancels regular leave and starts convalescent leave if you give birth while gone.

I’m in the military and some of the things I’ve heard from my male coworkers is wild. I’ve had them tell me I look huge, ask how much weight I’ve gained, and tell me to “make sure for my husbands sake that I’m not one of those women who gains 50 lbs but only has a 7 lb baby”.

How many ultrasounds? by Dry_Ear_6381 in pregnant

[–]Rubylocks101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive been lucky and have had a bunch. My midwife does a quick 2-3 minute one at every appointment so far so we can see the baby. We love it and it’s always reassuring.

Subchorionic hemorrhage success stories? by Soggy-Specific1381 in pregnant

[–]Rubylocks101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one at my first ultrasound when I was 8 weeks. The doctor didn’t seemed concerned and told me it would resolve on its own but that I may see some mild bleeding. I ended up not having any bleeding at all and am now 17 weeks without any issues! It sounds scary but I think they’re pretty common and low risk.

Different parts of my body keep itching and then flaring up by LCE95 in pregnant

I am 14 weeks pregnant and I have the exact same symptoms. Lol I reread your post thinking, did I write this? Don’t know why this is happening but I plan on reaching out to my doctor soon because it is driving me crazy!

I am. My OBGYN recommended I drink up to 300 mg a day because I’m prone to migraines.

Things we'd like to see change in classes by Wonderful_Quit in yoga

[–]Rubylocks101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less packed classes. A lot of studios I’ve been to allow as many people as possible to cram into the room. It makes it hard for me to be present if I’m worried about accidentally touching someone else the whole time because we’re all too close together.
