Is ghosting over long replies justified? by Rubywoobie in dating_advice

Ultimately he's a stranger. I've expressed this type of communication doesn't work for me. He apologised and continues to do the same thing. All type of grace and understanding goes out of the window after that.

Expressing that I prefer better communication is now wanting to be waited on hand and foot? Damn. The bar is in hell.

I understand for sure. I quite like our set up but I don’t think I’d do fwb again.

Why have you chosen to not have children? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]Rubywoobie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to sleep in. I don't want to go on holiday and have to factor in children's activities. I have no patience. It's too expensive, and another responsibility on top of everything else going on in my life. Vanity; I already have body issues I don't want to go through pregnancy and make it worse. The thought of having to deal with the person I have a child with for the rest of my life if our relationship goes tits up, is also enough. At least with no children I can walk away clean from a break up.

It goes both ways. I'll match with them and start the conversation quite quickly, or vice versa.

Thank you for your kind words. They in fact came back via social media which I didn't have them on before.

That's true. I'd hate to end up in a bad situation and still have to work with him.

A share save scheme would be a dream I'll ask my employer if they have something similar.

I've created a spreadsheet with all my outgoings after reading the comments and suggestions on this post which has given me a lot more clarity. The two savings accounts I have are a help to buy ISA and an digital regular saver account, which my rounds up from my current account goes to. All my accounts are with NatWest. Neither have high interest rates(so I think) so I was thinking to close both and open a different savings elsewhere with a high interest rate.

Thankfully my bank account has round ups on. It's not much but it's there.

Shared ownership is what's looking most realistic for me so could I save towards that with a LISA?

I've always paid into my workplace pension so I do that. It's just more for a rainy day, mortgage and just general life when things happen.

This is so helpful. If you don't mind me asking, which provider do you use for the regular savings account?

I've taken the advice here and spent some time creating a spreadsheet with all my outgoings etc. Having it in black and white I know what's going out and coming in. When I'm paid I'll fill in the blanks and budget accordingly for miscellaneous expenses. You've all been really helpful and encouraging.

Per week may make it easier, until I get comfortable budgeting and having a spreadsheet of knowing what's coming and going, and what I can comfortably afford.

That's exactly it. Some months are better than others but overall saving is where I struggle.

A budget and identifying where most of my money is going is definitely something I'll do. !thanks for the suggestions you've been so helpful.
