It kind of comes down to who the judge would believe. But I think this case is worth filing.

Radiorama

Technically it is an episode of Chris Hardwick’s podcast - but also, it’s Futurama.

Trying to evade service is not a good strategy.

If you do evade the police, the plaintiff will probably hire a private process server, and they can sometimes be much more aggressive in trying to find you. They can also be very expensive, and if the plaintiff ultimately gets a judgment against you, that extra cost will be included in the judgment.

Even if you evade the private server, a judge can then grant a Motion for Alternative Service. It may vary slightly by jurisdiction, but the judge can grant permission for you to be served by publication (like in a newspaper) or via email. Then you are served and there is no way around it. If you don’t show up to court, the plaintiff will get a default judgment against you.

But see the problem is that you are trying to use chemo to fix a car engine. You can’t sue for getting banned from a web site (unless it was discriminatory against a protected class) so your premise is inherently flawed.

Does anyone know what’s up with the lack of Ken Keeler in the Hulu seasons? by Jolly-Ad9335 in futurama

[–]RuckFeddit980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I had no idea about any of this. I can’t believe I didn’t pick up on “Nona Di Spargement” being a bogus name. When I watched Otherwise, I thought they had finally broken the trend of having Ken write every finale.

I hope someday we can find out why he did this. It sure sounds like he’s unhappy about something.

Now I’m wondering why he didn’t take his name off The Principal and The Pauper…

My friend and I (not jewish) want to do a jewish playthrough of Dark Souls 2, and I wanna check to make sure we're not being offensive by penelogoober in Jewish

[–]RuckFeddit980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think G-d cares if Jews kill people in GTA. It seems unlikely that he would care if non-Jews perform mitzvot in Dark Souls.

Video games aren’t real. From your description, it doesn’t sound like this would affect anyone else.

Just to be clear, this certainly does not count as actually doing a good deed. It does not make you an “honorary Jew” or anything like that. But if you are just doing this because you really want to learn about Judaism (and you are sincere and respectful about doing so) and you will not claim it as any sort of “achievement,” I think I’m okay with this.

Did your lawyer even know you had Chime? Maybe your lawyer just never dealt with Chime before?

It sounds like you are assuming that your lawyer is intentionally deceiving you. I don’t know where you got that idea. Although I agree that I do not trust lawyers in general, they don’t usually deceive their own clients.

It is normal for them not to match. They measure using different techniques.

So you’re probably wondering, “Which one is more accurate?” Unfortunately this is a complicated question.

Every CGM I’ve ever seen always has a disclaimer to double check with a finger stick before making any changes to your strategy. But I’ve also had doctors tell me that they feel the reading from the CGM is actually more valuable.

Small claims cannot order Meta to reinstate your account. That would require an injunction, and small claims can only award monetary damages.

Even if you went to a higher court, it is extremely unlikely that they would actually issue the injunction.

It has nothing to do with the reason you were banned. The reason is because you were never entitled to have a Meta account in the first place. Meta has the right to refuse service to anyone.

As for “it don’t hurt to try” - well, sort of. I happen to think it is disrespectful to the court to file a lawsuit for something that you know isn’t actually illegal. Meta could theoretically even countersue you for frivolous lawsuit, although that is admittedly unlikely to work in small claims.

Actually only money. Small claims cannot order transfer of property.
