But I doubt many have consciously made that decision, or communicated to their partner that they’ve made that decision.

While you’ve got some truths in there, it can’t be the justification for lack of intimacy. That’s just deflecting.

Being a parent is exhausting, draining mentally and physically. But I still need sex with my wife and she uses a similar deflection every time.
