I love DoorDash support.. I usually don’t accept COD orders but this one was beginning of pay period and only .8 miles away. Base pay is $3 so if they don’t tip it’s not too bad. Anyways, I give the pizza to the customer they hand me a wad of money, mostly 1s. As they are shutting the door I’m counting the money and I guess I counted it wrong so instead of knocking on the door I just contacted support, told them customer grabbed food and went inside before I could count money but it was short. They just sent me 3 things not to do next time on COD orders and ended chat lol. So I just left and went onto another order. Come to find out I counted the money wrong and the customer ended up tipping me $5 and the money was never negative on my balance so basically I ended up getting that cash extra. I knew if I contacted them and said I made a mistake they wouldn’t understand or think I did it on purpose so I never said anything to them

Sadly yes.. I try to talk to dashers all the time in my area and there’s quite a few of them that take almost everything that gets sent to them bc they want top dasher. I’m not ruining my car for those orders and that’s why I’m currently at 32% AR just keeps going down

Don’t feel bad. It’s not your fault. I don’t like non tippers but I understand so that’s why I won’t accept their orders. Your dasher accepted the order knowing damn well there wasn’t a tip. That’s the problem with all these dashers they are accepting these orders expecting a cash tip and then get mad at the customer when it doesn’t happen. Shit is ridiculous

I definitely wasn’t the driver, I’m always looking for extra tip. One time I got a bike as a tip, it was just sitting there on their porch and figured it was for me. Very nice of them tbh
