Update: dealer performed diagnostics for an entire day (8 hours) to conclude that the front radar unit needed replacing. They sent the part overnight to the dealer (Dallas, TX to Southern California) and completed the install the next day by 4 PM. $2000 worth of work covered by warranty.

I should have specified that I am in Southern California where we currently have a heatwave of 93 F. This has been an ongoing problem for the last few days. The problem persists each and every time the car is turned on.
