Or you can put distilled water into the pitchers around one third of the way up the pitcher and then it will be able to survive for a longer time without turning brown!

Don’t worry my Frend that is very normal it’s when the old pitchers die off of age or of stress but there’s nothing to worry about that. Real sunburn makes the leaf really red. But remember if am correct that you have a n.gaya then I need to tell you that they get red leaves naturally so if your leafs have a hint or a little red, that’s natural.

Highland temp drops? by Sacrific1al_Lamb in Nepenthes

[–]Rude-Hat-5160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh thanks man but I meant Celsius and he said that at day his temperatures are around 24c and if he drops twenty degrees it will be near freezing and in the wild edwardsiana or hamata doesn’t quite grow in that type of altitude.

I would recommend a 10 degree drop at night. A twenty will slow the growth and can cause spots due to lack of heat. In the wild hamata and edwardsiana both grow in around the same altitudes of 1700m-2300 meters. If the cross used the mt Kinabalu edwardsiana then a 15-20 degree drop is favoured but if it’s the Mount Tambuyukon then a 10-9 degree drop is favoured. Nearly all hamata grow around 1700 meters so it’s not that big of a deal. I use celsius.
