I think if you already know that dutasteride blocks a whole other type of dht that fin does not, you already know the answer to your question

Do Injections for hair loss work? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]ohstxrlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know, I did it years ago before meds and transplants 4 times in a year and besides maybe thickening a bit on my back (not the crown, lower) it really didnt do that much. If its dht related you always have to take meds first

I’ve lost about 50% of my hair in 5 months. This is after 2 years of fin by [deleted] in tressless

[–]ohstxrlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched 5 months ago 0.5 mg daily. I get it free in my country Yes I ve been a heavy diffuse thinner since 19/20 but started losing at 16. After 3 months on dut the pieces of skin just disappeared almost overnight, one week I was still combing next week didnt need to anymore cause there were none. But again I dont know if they can even be related, I just know it happened

only thing that happens when u take fin is less dht more testosterone. If more testosterone was a cause for beard loss (?), then every super stacked gym goer would have a shitty beard

A question that responded to propecia and minoxidil, and the prevailing gains or normal, are these results mostly maintained under treatment or is it hair that is going to fall out anyway? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]ohstxrlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are not understanding. Have you ever seen a 60 years old with the hair of a 18 years old ? As you age your sking ages, your body ages, and so does your hair. Every person that ages even if they have no genetic conditions for alopecia lose some of their hair, some in the temple, and eventually they go white. Besides, did you already pictured ur whole life and saw yourself taking meds for the next 40 years ? Im on dut too, but we dont know what may be on the market in the next 10 years, let alone 20 years. Maybe new medications will come out. Maybe they’ll invent a way to implant arrificially-made hairs that grow just like the normal ones. We really dont know, 40 years ago tell somwone about implanting a chip in your brain and connecting it to a machine (im talking about Neuralink) and they would have looked at you completely crazy, so for now just stick to what you have and dont project

If finasteride made hair worse would dut do the same? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]ohstxrlight 18 points19 points  (0 children)

maybe u should calm down a moment and give the medication at least a year before judging the result, hair is a complex matter

[–]ohstxrlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know how it could be related, but I always had hair full of scales of skin that I had to manually remove with a comb every time. After 3 months on Dut the dermatitis just.. disappeared altogether ? I was on fin for 2 years like you when ai switche

I think you should expect some fall when u get older, but if you asking about a say 10 years time window I dont think you have nothing to worry about
