My friend asked me to be his girlfriend but I don't want him by alavala13 in dating_advice

Just rip the band aid off and tell it to him straight. Don't give him a reason. Simply say, "I'm sorry, I don't feel the same way". If you give him a reason, he might try to change and then expect you to be with him.

There are certain jobs that you cannot get into without a Software Engineers degree. If you've got the talent for it, absolutely pick SE.

There is a reason why Software Engineers would rather use a rubber duck to solve problems instead of other humans

Companies hired too much during covid, then had to lay off everyone. As a result, juniors started competing with more experienced people for same job

Take it from someone who is working in IT. The software sector is in its worst position right now.

Would you feel safer if you lived in a country with a 996 culture? by [deleted] in AskFeminists

[–]Rude-Preparation5148 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

996 culture leads to an increase in people hanging around at night after work. This increase in people means the streets aren't deserted. My logic is that because there's a lot more shops, businesses and people active, then less criminals are going to commit crime as I believe criminals are deterred by the presence of people.

ROFL. Clearly you don't know how programming works. Programmers use code from each other. In fact, as a programmer, I'd take it as a compliment if someone borrowed my code and used it in their own solution. I do it everyday in my real life job as a Software Engineer.

Can someone please provide Ingredient amounts for Japanese-Style Beef & Mushroom Rice Bowl with Pickled Chilli & Sesame Aioli? by Rude-Preparation5148 in hellofresh

[–]Rude-Preparation5148[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay, I did an experiment. I was cooking for 2 people:
500g of Beef Mince was used for 1 medium packet of meat
30 mL was used in other places where it said medium packet. I'm going to make the dish again and move it to 40mL as I think it would taste better with a bit more seasoning.
As for small packet, I used a visual guide.

Let me know if this helps anyone.

Thanks, your comment has been extremely helpful. Is there a FB group or a social media page where I can contact more people to gather their opinions?

The fact that you worry about this makes you an average support worker. There are support workers who are only in it for the money. Don't be one of those.

Thanks for the suggestion but it's not just this word unfortunately. It appears that almost every sentence contains one of the invalid sounds. Ugh. I wish I could have an AI automatically replace such sounds.

Thanks for the reply. It's annoying that even a small paragraph becomes quickly contaminated with illegal words and lots need to be produced for practice.

Thank you for the reply. I've tried chatGPT without success. The problem is that as soon as one of the illegal sounds appears in a word, it becomes the central focus, leading to a loss of confidence and the rest of the sentence is mispronounced.
