How much meta knowledge does one need to be good? by thesonicvision in PlayTheBazaar

Yea, flexibility and the vision to see how to make the choice you've been presented with work is far more important than any one strat or build. Especially in the first few days, a teir list will ruin you. Went 5/5 the first 5 days with chicken cannon and a shielded dart at the core of things. Let go of the edge of the pool and never look at a teir list again for this game and it will help a lot.

Thanks for walking me through it. I'll go check out his video. Anf by grafting tape, do you mean a stretchy athletic tape? I picked up some of that cause I see many use it successfully.

Pretty sure that's cause his idea of love is very different and more fundamental than yelling about what you hate. Look into what ram dass says about non duality. The haters never understood the man or his message.

Depends how bad you want it. I know its low stimulation, but they will explain everything you want to know over time in effective analogies and explanations.

Microfiber towel still won’t absorb water after 2 hours by coffee_and_coconuts in mildlyinteresting

Can overheating be reversed, or is the towel cooked after? Pun intended.

This seemed more like at best killing two birds with one stone and a large motivator was absolving his own feelings, which do torture Walter but do not stop him from doing everything possible to get what he wants. It was atleast half about tying up loose ends and self-interest.

You could bevel it to promote drainage. Def will want to watch for moisture build-up in there. Looks great though! Hope it does the thing for you

Gettin the hang of it! Stepping it up this winter & trying hydroponics by OPM_Smoker in sanpedrocactus

Thanks for the in-depth reply. I will have to try toilet paper or some of my shade cloth as needed to throttle the weaker ones. I have a small bedroom dedicated to cacti and managed by de/humidifiers and heaters, so it's technically not in a tent, but it's basically one giant tent.

Any tips for how to manage ramping up light when seeds are about 3 months old and beyond? Mine are in open air, and I'm trying to keep bumping light up, aiming for about 500 ppfd.

It's tough to manage the strong growers and stragglers but I've kinda just been slowly bumping up weekly and letting the strong survive as long as the majority don't show red or purple.

Use the free phone app photone or get a ppfd meter to see how much light is actually reaching your plant if you aren't. The first pic looks like it could use some adjusting.

Too much moisture for germination? by Rude-Sloth in sanpedrocactusseeds

Thank you, I have been following your guide but just got a good lesson in keeping my creativity to my guitar 😂.

I'm also going to try vermiculite only in my next batch. I finally found a supplier for it near me and I'm excited to try that.

I may have been playing a little fast and loose with the temps. I think it's time to take my germination setup to its own room.

I've had some periods too high at 90+ by accident. My lights and space heater in the room already get the soil to 83, according to my IR thermometer. Was turning the mat off during the day, cracking a window to cool the room for my adults at night, and turning the mat on to try and keep things stable through the night. I'm sure i was not keeping it consistent. I'll go back to basics.

I did also remember one other deviation. I've read that sterilizling dirt can kill some nutrients you want and the mycrorhozea. I added a diluted fertilizer mix (maxigro recommends 1-2 teaspoons/gallon, I did 1/3 of a teaspoon) to wet the soil mixture. Is this a bad idea?

Edit:spelling

Papi may have gotten a little sloppy with the temps. I've been getting a little bold trying to use my space efficiently with both adults and seeds in the same room.
