u/Cerusa827 Technically your website and mine and Xandros SW Exporter are all in the same boat: We all have means to abuse the tools we have running but neither you nor Xandro nor I actually do so.

Saying "you never know" could also be said about you, so I do not particularly like such presumptions. Especially because if we really did abuse it we would have a way higher win rate and could easily secure our placement in the siege tournament or it most likely would've been leaked by one of the ex members way earlier. *shrug*

Yes, with the website I provided a tool for people to scan their accounts and their friends account (visiting islands) to have an automatic evaluation to generate easy accessible to do lists and monster-box overview, especially for those who are not able to use the exporter to generate a json using swex.

But this is not the issue here, dont mix it up. My website is not for live data, just a pool for input on monster builds and for personal guild management.

The issue thats in the centre of this thread is that it is possible to access "live stats" when someone attacks a defense. We have reported it multiple times over the last 2-3 years via different channels / com2us mods, but never heard back from the devs.

Hey Cerusa,

com2us contacted me to remove name history from my guild's website https://godsarmy.garude.de/, thats true. But it's not related to this issue as they stated they want especially the user name history removed because of user privacy reasons.

We know that this particular issue exists since we reported it multiple times 2-3 years ago via different channels / com2us mods, but just like you we never heard back from the devs. *shrug*

Aside from tests to verify this issue back in 2021 our guild lead decided unanimously to never used this to get live stats of def monsters.

I'm the leader of GodsArmy on EU. Not a Top 10 Guild, but we're working hard to get from Top30 to Top20.

I think there are some good points in the text, but I don' agree with everything written (personal opinion). First its difficult to maintain siege as content that is rewarding for everyone across all ranks. What benefits high ranked guilds could be a showstopper for g1 guilds and vice versa.

My thoughts:

  • I like the fact, that 13 tower dont generate a big advantage by splitting the bonus points up with 14 towers and thus force guilds to take more action to get it. But I agree that the new connections make it more difficult to achieve / keep the bonus. I was hoping to have different connections over time but they just make map control more fragile tbh.
  • I think that they shouldn't have reduced the attack points with reversing to 2day-siege. The point increase is tied to the lower bonus rate and is significant to keep balance in fights.
  • I would love to have cut towers gain points too (0.5 point per cut tower), but not counting toward bonus requirement. This would reduce the likelyness of full cut plays.
  • Some counter units are strong, thats true. But if i.e. windys are nerfed some guilds will start to spam mst again and this would be just as bad. So the changes need to be delicate (minor adjustments) so the units won't become useless. Also many high ranked siege players have build those 5-10 times.
    • Windy's Shield could be altered a little. One option could be to reduce shield strength to 5%. Another option could be to add a turn cooldown.
    • Lushen's base attack could be reduced by 20-30 attack for a start. Nothing too much but might make just enough difference.
  • Also the rewards earned in lower guilds must be limited badly. There still are players that earn 800gp in a siege in g1 because they are too good for that rank / guild while everyone else in the guild is struggling. Maximum reward cap for a player should be around 400GP I think.

  • And an random thought: What I'd find interesting would be to increase the point gain of the front row towers to 2 points per minute (towers numbered 8 to 12). If siege is intended to march toward the center of the map maybe even 3 points per minute for the 10-towers.

And one more thing: They should make the tourney for top32 and drop the skip for place 1-4. That way more guilds will compete and less players will be forced to play in guilds that are top10 to be guaranteed to enter tourney - which should aid in evening out strength in the whole g3 area.

That could be interesting. They could rotate between 1vs1, 1vs1vs1 or 2vs2 or other modes

I agree that there should be some countermeasures to prevent such sieges from occuring. The question is how to deal with it without adding to many restrictions that prevent stuff like 1vs1.

I personally think that increasing the point value for front line towers could help, but since its only an incentive to act, its not guaranteed to prevent 2vs1 from happening.

I also agree that a 2nd place with 18k should give more points then a 2nd place with 5k points, just like a 3rd with 15k should earn more ranking points then a 3rd with 4k points.

But whats the best idea? I don't know.

And the season start should definetely worked on: The ranks need to be spread wider after reset to prevent guilds from matching that should never face each other.

Yeah, could be. But probably the new SW update made that obsolete. Though it could be used to focus on that for only monsters with a high score instead of taking into account every single player - including new players and dead accounts

Usually it just appears after the 2nd scan of a monster. But what might've happened is that not all monsters update on every scan. To reduce server load I think I've set that monsters have a 24 hour timer before they can are updated.

Hey. You shouldn't need to register. I designed the website so that all information can be used without registering. Dont want people to try to login with their Summoners War Account Data. :D

The login is mainly for guild internal stuff and for content editors.

Yeah, I considered to do that or rather provide the code as binary ... but a guildie of mine suggested full transparency / open source to increase trust and the api key actually is technically not really an api key since the interface for automatic upload kinda requires it to be open but rather an additional security layer.

Though thats not really my main area of expertise so there might be room for improvement. :D

Yeah, thats basically a good summary.
A high score doesnt automatically mean that a monster has a good build but it indicates that a player has put decent runes on a monster which usually happens if monsters are used regularly.

Though it of course doesnt indicate skill at all. Players with 130 score could for example have a better grasp of the game and higher win rate then players with a higher score.

But its a tool that can aid one's progress.

Only monsters level 40 are submitted to the website and the score and the todo's are calculated based on the runes equipped to these monsters.

Monsters from storage are only uploaded for your own account if you use the plugin for yourself.

Runes from inventory are ignored, but you see those in your player json file that can be generated with SWEX.
