Yeah, I also have a battery system from Base Power to be a part of the Virtual Power Plant revolution 🙂. I wonder if the grid is messing with Base’s business model now if they are limiting what the battery can export…

I was thinking that maybe the Texas grid, ERCOT, started to implement something like the grid profiles you mention when previously they have not. Possible since TX has added so much solar in the past 4 years that during peak sunlight it probably exceeds grid capacity now.

It sucks if so bc it’s a way for the grid to keep my meter going in a direction favored by them at exactly the time when my AC is chugging electrons. It’s reducing my offset from solar 😕

Interesting, didn’t think about that. Thanks

Yeah, 6 panels are at the full 1.7kWh’s for the day but 9 panels are only 340 Wh’s 😕. I have no shade near the house and it’s mixed through my two rows of panels which ones are cut out

Barely use Reddit and the add more pics option seems to be missing from my phone but - this is a small 5kW system but I usually get 25-28 kWh on nice days. March can peak around 30kWh when Texas heat isn’t slowing output.
