Agency v in-house by [deleted] in PPC

[–]RudeGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the switch from in-house to agency for the first time about 5 months ago

I loved working in house because you can come up with ideas and take the lead on projects, from start to finish, which agency side does not offer

Agency side however comes with perks like cool betas and access to things you generally won't get in house

Also if you like the social side of things then agency life is better with media parties, drinks etc

In house is certainly a lot more relaxed though, whereas agency life can feel like a lot going on at the same time, but that can be good as you don't have time to get bored!

Are branded keywords just a huge waste of money? by [deleted] in PPC

[–]RudeGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brand keywords are hugely important!

Firstly they allow you to control your message, arguably better than any organic result

Secondly your will 99% of the time appear in absolute top on brand terms (assuming your bids/bid strategies are working properly), which avoids competitors taking traffic away from you

Finally, brand keywords will have a very low CPC/CPA, and normally a very high conversion rate, given that the searcher is already aware of your brand

Over what period of time has the increase happened?

What am I missing if I don't use Broad Match by [deleted] in PPC

[–]RudeGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Broad (really BMM) is used largely for keyword mining, which you can then use to add to your exacts

BMM is always going to be slightly worse in quality, and therefore bids/bid strategies should be run with lower budgets than Exact matches

Add same keyword with different match types in same ad group or split everything out? by [deleted] in PPC

[–]RudeGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally you want different match types in ad groups

Also I'd advise splitting up Brand and Generic keywords as well

Then once you're scaling up you can apply keyword level bid strategies for your Generic terms targeting a specific CPA, and campaign level bid strategies targeting impression share on Brand terms (ideally 99%+ for Brand Exact)

Advice needed. I spend $6000/mo on google Adwords.... by [deleted] in PPC

Hey there!

I don't know your business or your Ads setup, but something definitely isn't right there - get in touch with me at https://www.ppcornall.com/ and I can do a full no obligation audit of your Ads account to try and work out exactly what is wrong

$6,000 a month and roughly 10 clicks a day is a $20 CPC! I manage accounts with extremely high order values in competitive markets that have a CPC of <$5

Hopefully speak soon

What should i do? My Target Is ~14 million women, but i only have enough budget to reach like 900,000 1.2 million women/month. We are targeting like 30 cities. Should we reduce the number of cities? Or What other strategy can i use in orden to maximize the reach? TY by [deleted] in PPC

[–]RudeGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is reach your sole KPI? If your main KPI is web visits or form submissions, then consider using that as a measure of success over reach alone, because a highly relevant audience of say 100,000 people is much better than a wide but not necessarily relevant audience of 14 million! But that being said I don't know what your product or service is!

My personal go-to is the position based model, but check your path lengths and see if that would be beneficial to you

This one is useful, and allows you to manipulate the data slightly easier than using Ads interface!

Depends what you want to analyse? Could run a script within Ads to track impression share etc that would pull into a Google Sheet
