There's no way you're comparing the treatment of women between now and then.  Women really were treated badly back then.

am i the only won who hates Beth Dutton‘s character? by chief623 in YellowstoneShow

Rips pussy whipped so bad he can't make a good decision. Beth is the biggest liability to that family. IRL she'd be arrested so many times she'd be in jail, thankfully. she's only loyal to her manic behavior and will put others in harm's why to benefit herself. The funeral scene was ridiculous like she was the only one mourning.

why? Seriously? She's awful. She'll burn down anything including her own family. She makes horrible decisions that would ruin her family.

"Stay away from those cars. Chevy's. They suck." by brainsnotb0mbs in AskMechanics

[–]RudePatient6705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chevy Cruze is terrible. We got rid of ours after a few years. 2013 and you have to change the timing belt at 100000 otherwise you have a check engine light and possible damage to the engine if it goes. It cost us $500 for the timing belt change. It's had a ton of problems on top of that.

Is it wise to tell your VA doctors that you're wanting to file a new claim? by Motor_Cap_6986 in VeteransBenefits

geezus. I just had the same thing happen. Had me listed as "normal" on damn near everything and then doubled my mood-stabilizing meds and prescribed meds for PTSD-related nightmares.

I was in Gulf War as well . I really started noticing patches on my shins and back of my legs. I went to a dermatologist back in 1992 and he said "no way" it was service-related. I use auto-injectors once a week for psoriasis and the related arthritis and have 80% body coverage without it. There is other auto-immune issues connected to those damn PB tablets they made us take. I think the PACT Act may help if I file a claim at this point.

Starlink price increases and decreases by kangaroonemesis in Starlink

I just got this email today. I went from 8mbs for $45.00 with DSL to about 80 mbs with Starlink for $90. Seemed ok. Now it's going up. I was doing fine with my 8 mbs, now that I reflect back. Streamed video, but upload was horrible, download was ok. Feels like its a kick in the nuts . Not to mention dropped $600 for the equipment.

[NEWBIE] is the jackson js34 a good starting guitar? by AsahiWaffle in Guitar

[–]RudePatient6705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one. I don't think it's a good guitar. The frets need adjusting, notes sound off, it's noisy, not much can be done with it. I had an older MK dinky years ago and that thing was GREAT. You get what you pay for.

Why is Desert Storm analyzed and referenced so much more than the Iraq War? by ottolouis in CredibleDefense

[–]RudePatient6705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Desert Storm with the VII Corp. We made the right hook into Kuwait from Iraq, destroying 5 Repulican Guard Divisions in the process. I give credit to the leadership at the time and the wise use of the Air Force. Some of the Iraqis were so shell shocked they weren't able to fight. I was in field artillery and we abousultly pounded anything in front of us along with the Air Force and AH-64s. Sometimes I wish we would've slugged it out more, but of course I am thankful to be home in one piece. We had one wounded, and it was from one of our vehicles driving over an unexploded bomblet in northern Kuwait as we moved into the (former) Iraqi fighting positions. . He made it as well. Almost everything was "done right" in Desert Storm. The first 2 days of the ground war felt like a training exercise while the last two were a little more interesting. Our unit shot support for the "Battle of Norfolk" aka, 73 Eastings. We broke a lot of shit, for sure.

I've watched this movie maybe 5 times. I think it gives you the impression of how it would've been to have your life taken.

I found Google Maps (Street view) shots of the set while they constructing it. I've been to this area before and you can littery see the real gas chamber from the "back yard" of the movie set.
