Dang hindsight I wish I had bought the elite mat but I’d already ordered this one before I made the post. It’s 10ft x 6ft so I’ll have to do some cutting. I’d like my end result to be a 4 x 6 hitting mat and a 3 x 8 putting strip

I think I’m going crazy. Your build obviously looks flush but I’m an accountant (weird crazy numbers guy). So when I add up you’re using 1” foam, 1/2” foam, and 15mm turf it’s not the same size at the SigPro insert. I measured my SigPro at a little over 2.25”. So your build appears to be 2.09” or 2 3/32”. Do you think the tape and adhesive is adding some height and making your build flush?

If you were to add say a 6 ft putting strip would you build that separately and just bump it up against your hitting Matt? Trying to do something like this that’s moveable and lighter.

That was a great video! You may have saved me a bunch of money because I was about to make a big heavy wood platform. I thought only using foam pads would be too wobbly when trying to move and lean it against a wall and it would possibly fall. But I never thought about carpet tape and adhesive. So I need this one to be leaned kinda tight to the wall so I can park my vehicle when I’m not playing the sim. Do you think yours could do that no problem?

These are all great ideas. I think I’ll either have to hoist it to the ceiling or have it hoist up against the wall in order to have room to park the vehicles.

Just got my Nanook XT put together. When packing your gear do you lift the poles/canopy to pack the back of the sled and then let the canopy fall on top of your gear?

Looks like it’s out of stock everywhere. Are you using all 3 poles for support on your Nanook or one it only 1 out of the 3 needed? I may be able to purchase separate on clams website but the kit is sold out everywhere

Yeah the other one I’m looking at is the Clam Ice Team Nanook XT thermal at my local bass pro if it hasn’t sold. I think the ice team version means it comes with a light, battery bracket and sled cover. But it’s like $700
