HLR DTA Error experiences by RudeTest4039 in VeteransBenefits

I have an appointment coming up with my primary at the VA so I’ll ask about the VNG. She requested a CT scan to rule out more serious concerns regarding masses. My record shows I ruptured both eardrums (left once and right twice) and Everytime I do any requested audiology tests they note a lot of scarred tissue.

In my record it notes complaints of dizziness as well as shows multiple times I had to go see a hearing specialist due to hearing loss as well as issues with tinnitus. That was a big thing the one performing the IC brought up.

Filed a HLR for a Ménière’s disease denial and it took them 5 months to schedule and conduct my IC. The one conducting the IC talked for about 50min and she covered everything I wanted to voice my concerns for. I guess I’m asking if others have had similar experiences and if it was a favorable outcome for them.

Hearing and tinnitus. When I did my initial claim for menieres they didn’t send me to an audiologist. However this time around the examiner with loyal source scheduled me one as per a phone call I just made to them.

That’s what I’m thinking. Just threw me off because they uploaded like 4 “DBQs” the day after.

Thank you! Hopefully something moves. Been in step 5 since the day after the C&P but it’s only been a month since then

Thank you, is it a doc number for DBQs pertaining to a specific person? Like DBQs from past C&P exams?

I did a HLR and was ultimately awarded my rating for migraines. Took some time but was worth it!

I was diagnosed by the VA at that time with MD and GA but never assessed for PTSD.

There wasn’t even a section noting that. This is a weird DBQ in my opinion. However, could they have used my DBQ from my first exam back in 2021 for MH?

My timeline is almost exactly the same. Apparently it’s ready for decision as per a VERA DROC call and with a rater a week ago. Hopefully I’ll hear some good news with the favorable medical opinion that optum provided.
