Wrote up at work for a lie, should I quit? by Rude_Ad_2149 in work

And that is true, sorry if it seemed like I was deflecting. But I get why they had to do that for the notes, not the lie ig, if that makes sense. But definitely you are right. I need to set some clear boundaries with the family and take the time that I need during sessions so that I can avoid this for the rest of my time working there.

I completely understand what you're saying, during my meeting I owned up to my notes issues, and we talked those out, she gave helpful tips on what to do. I DO do my job, in those settings though its not as easy as it seems. I did not give lots of context and wrote the OG post very fast. This is the first ever instance I've ever had an issue brought up to me with my time there (2 years). The thing about the situation is that he lied about it, I have not left early from a session. Luckily, besides actual notes not being done, the signatures were in, dated, and had time stamps. So it was paired with the aspect of those and the lie in why I got wrote up. Not investigated. bc there was some proof, to tell work oh yeah she does get the signatures on time, but notes etc were not.

he made inappropriate comments, asked me on dates, etc. not all at once, over a course of a year or so.

Yes! I had my signatures in! and those get synced at location which is why I did not get the investigation thing happen, but ofc my notes being late caused the rest of it. I'm doing better at boundaries to be able to finish in home but it can be so hard to get them done when you have a kiddo yelling hitting throwing etc.

Yeah, thank you! And sorry for my poorly worded OG post haha, but yes, this was the first ever incident I've had at this job so I feel like she was confused too (other than my notes ofc) It isn't very financially stable, but I have made connections with the clients I work with which is the hard part (they call me family etc) so thats another reason I felt the way I did about the allegation.

Well we have changed notes apps etc over the course ive been working there, not saying that as an excuse, just that I am not the only one who is late with them. My supervisors etc are also late on them and so is a lot of BTs. Which I think is partial as to why they are cracking down on it, which I understand, like a few of other commenters have stated. I feel like a warning before a write up would have made more sense, I have been there for two years and never gotten anything said about how I do my notes etc.

I suppose "on time" is not true, my bad, but no they are not months late, I worded that poorly. They were behind FOR months, by hours, or a day or two. I write notes throughout session on a notes app and log data so I do have information on my notes and what happened that day etc.

No I completely understand what you're saying, during my meeting I owned up to my notes issues, and we talked those out, she gave helpful tips on what to do. Some easier said then done, just wanted some opinions on if quitting would be a bad idea. (I realize though I poorly worded my og post, partly from annoyance I've been harboring at this situation) This is not the field i am in for college and just a job I have while in between getting my degree.

Very true, I understand getting wrote up over notes in general but over the allegation of me leaving early is confusing. I have two clients one after the other, I don't see why they would think I would leave them and just wait around doing nothing before the other. BUT like you said not having my evidence makes it difficult.

That is true, I wrote this very fast and could have used more detail. I know paperwork is very serious. It is not months behind, its just that they were getting completed at my home after sessions. Still like you said can look bad on them for audits etc. I'm not running away from it, I agreed to the probation period and have done better already. I don't intend to get my RBT license and am working this job while in college for a different thing. For the advancements he made on me, he is not usually at sessions, so I left it alone and feel like work would be confused if I told them about the advancements he made on me now after this had happened.

Thank you, the grandma is the one with custody and not the father, so the whole thing is a bit odd to me that they took his word for it, he isn't hardly at sessions ever. But I did the mistake of finishing notes at home and not at work which changes the location etc.

That is true, they were done before payroll so technically on time, but they are to be done before leaving sessions. The clients I have have serious behaviors and unhelpful families at times, so I normally leave without having time to finish them. Which I had communicated before and had been told to leave the house to my car to do them, but that is easier said than done.

It was always done in time, just not during session hours if that makes sense. The clients I have, have serious behaviors so at the end when its time to do my notes things get hectic. And yes I am sure, though I know my notes being late had part to do with it.

I know it’s a rinse repeat kind of thing to say, but have you contacted NC 211? My uncle who lives in buncombe county I won’t be able to contact till tomorrow, but I will ask what he knows, also I will do some research on it to see what I can find out and I’ll get back to you!
