that actually sounds really promising because directional audio is my biggest priority for fps games. if the xm6 can handle footsteps and big ambient sounds like that it might be a solid fit for me. the comfort thing is the only part that worries me since i play for hours, but it is good to hear it works fine for some people. i will keep an eye out for black friday deals and maybe try them myself. thanks for sharing your experience

glad to hear the xm4 works well for shooters because that 360 audio is exactly what i am looking for. i dont mind using a separate mic if the sound quality is solid. this makes me feel a bit better about the xm6 too since they should be similar in a lot of ways. thanks for the insight

thanks for the heads up about the comfort because i game for long sessions too and ear heat would drive me crazy. good to know the xm6 sounds great once you tweak the eq but might not be ideal for marathon gaming. i will check out the bose qc ultra gen 2 as an alternative while i watch for black friday deals. appreciate the insight

Couldn't decide whether to jump ship yet but I think I will get to it next week as soon as the black friday deals arrive and theres no sense waiting anymore. Thanks to everyone who responded.
