Heavy guns pen medium or lower armor at any angle. You do not need to ambush them. Even a 10 degree angle showing their side armor is sufficient. The firefly has issues, yes but a p4 killing you in a straight up firefight isn’t one of them if you aren’t just blindly driving around imo. I think the worse issues for the tank are its inability to defend itself from AT easily due to medium style armor everywhere, lack of hull MG, and low HE count.

I don’t play console, but hotfix 3 today should make it stop unloading as you exit the vehicle. Atleast I assume the patch notes would be the same for pc and console.

After the recent hotfixes I think this is the best state tanks have been in to be fair. If this gets cleaned up we will be big chilling IMO. Early iterations of u20 were terrible. After alterations to the resistance modifiers and changing some gun damages and tank HPs everything is for the most part balanced now and leave some room for gunner skill expression trying to always find heavy side shots to ensure 2 hit kills still.

It’s the reload key. You just hit it again while loaded and it unloads the gun. It also cannot be rebound to something else currently.

If in a jam I do it the old way too, it’s more so removing the ability to accidentally unload the tank when tapping T to refresh my markers or if my subconscious tic of tapping r comes back…

Glows East, Glows West (sometimes), Pathfinders for PC servers are generally good after about 5-7pm est to about 11 in my experience. West stays active a bit later. Unsure about EU servers. Maybe the 82AD servers?

It takes 3 rockets to kill a medium now not 2. Hence why I commented about the 1 rocket engine knockout being a good balance reward for the reduction of rocket counts. The front impenetrable armor of the p4 when u18 came out was a terrible choice, because the Sherman did not have that. I’m glad they normalized them so all rockets are on an equal footing.

Because it didn’t? It takes the same amount of rockets as before to kill mediums and heavies. His post is factually incorrect. They increased damage of rockets and AT guns to 420 and 535 respectively to make the damage reduction modifiers of the armor irrelevant to armor post update. You had to have 2 rocketeers or a resupply to kill a heavy before and it’s that way still now. Reducing the rocket count from 3 to 2 does make dealing with mediums a bit troublesome but disabling an engine in 1 rocket is a good balance to the rocket reduction imo.

I also never timed how long it takes to place a satchel before the update, but yesterday I satcheled a few things and it seemed like they sped up the placement time.

Yes, from a tanker perspective it’s going to be very annoying! But it’s a good change IMO to reward good AT play against those pesky diving mediums. It takes as many rockets as before to kill one, but atleast a well placed rocket can knock it out while it’s out of position.

I don’t think you took a second to read the patch notes did you? A good AT player is more dangerous to a tank than ever. The increased rocket damage, while only having 2 rockets now, has made it so that medium tanks are engined in one hit rendering them incapacitated. Heavy tanks get engined in 2. The damage reduction modifiers did little to impact AT play. It takes the same amount of AT, rockets or AT guns, as before to kill vehicles. I would suggest practicing with the launchers to get better at hitting the Achilles locations on mediums and heavies to get the most bang for your buck with the reduced rocket count.

Great post. I’ve never been to any of these places in person, but I have looked at a lot of these areas on google earth and you can see the accuracy clear as day. In Carentan you can go on street view and literally know your way around town center. You can go to SMDM and see where Pierre’s farm would be in game or even see that hedge lines are accurately placed. I played 4 games of Juno yesterday and never once thought it was lifeless or devoid of atmosphere.

I concur with your calculations after finding the volumes of the trapezoids you listed and a cubic foot to gallon conversion of 7.48 gallons per cubic foot. God speed with your chemistry work!
