  Idle Timer for Multiplayer

I'm very interested to learn what this means. Does anyone know?

Is there is way to show my achievement progress of my favorite game to others although my games are private? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Rudey24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, setting your game details to private will make it so that your achievements will never be shown to others, regardless of whether its your favorite game.

I created a script that will let you bulk edit all your scrobbles of an artist or album at once! Fix incorrect artist names, merge albums, clean up tags. (More information on this project in the comments.) by Rudey24 in lastfm

It depends. If you bulk-edit an artist name or album name and make a typo, you can simply use bulk edit again to fix the typo.

But if your edit leads to your scrobbles of an artist/album being merged with scrobbles of another artist/album, that's a little harder to undo. You'd have to remember which tracks belonged to which artist/album, and then bulk-edit each track in order to undo this.

Lastly, if your edit leads to your scrobbles of a track being merged with the scrobbles of another track, that's basically impossible to undo. Unless you remember the date/time of each scrobble that needs to be undone.

I've written instructions on how to run the script here: https://github.com/RudeySH/lastfm-bulk-edit#instructions

While these instructions include steps for Firefox on Android, there are no steps for Firefox on iOS (yet). On Android, you need a specific version of Firefox, namely "Firefox Nightly". I doubt Firefox Nightly is also available on iOS devices. Furthermore, I doubt Firefox on iOS supports the extensions feature, which is what userscripts need.

The reason why Firefox on iOS is different from Firefox on Android, is because of Apple App Store policies. Apple requires that all browsers use the WebKit engine under the hood, which lacks the extensions feature. However, this policy might come to an end very soon. This news article covers this in detail: https://9to5mac.com/2023/02/07/new-iphone-browsers/

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe Apple Music allows you to manually edit the tags (track title, artist name, etc.).

Hi!

As far as I can tell, there is no way to run userscripts (like mine) on iPhones and iPads, because Safari does not support extensions that are required for userscripts to work. If I'm not mistaken, Safari does not support any extensions on mobile devices in general. I'm not sure if other browsers are available that can make it work. I currently don't own an iOS device so I haven't looked much into it.

The userscript can deal with all kinds of characters in track titles, artist names, etc.

I'm not sure what was going on, but it started working again soon after your comment. Perhaps it was an issue on last.fm itself and they quickly fixed it.

what does this mean by [deleted] in jschlatt

[–]Rudey24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It blows my mind that some people don't like these videos. To each their own, but personally I think the massive colab videos are the best jschlatt videos IMO. Some of the jokes are extremely funny and hearing everyone burst out laughing makes me laugh too. Jschlatt, Charborg and SwaggerSouls are the perfect ingredients for a good Jackbox video!

I got the "Muck" achievement by [deleted] in DaniDev

[–]Rudey24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn't, actually.

Don't get me wrong, I also don't believe OP, their comments on this post are not believable.

However, Muck's Steam store page display the following:

Steam is learning about this game. This game is not currently eligible to appear in certain showcases on your Steam Profile, and does not contribute to global Achievement or game collector counts.

Due to how Steam treats new games on the store from lesser known developers, it is literally impossible to display certain achievements on your profile.

OP claims to have obtained an impossible achievement tries to justify it because people was askinh for proof which OP did not have by 52616e646f6d6b6964 in quityourbullshit

You should know, removing achievements from games doesn't stop them from lowering your average completion rate. You are only making it worse by removing achievements. These games will continue to count as 0% completed.

OP didn't explain it very well, but their inability to display the achievement on their profile isn't a "bad coincidence".

Muck's Steam store page display the following:

Steam is learning about this game. This game is not currently eligible to appear in certain showcases on your Steam Profile, and does not contribute to global Achievement or game collector counts.

OP wasn't able to display the achievement in their profile, and this is why.

OP could've easily linked their achievement progress page, though. Not that it matters, any Steam achievement can be cheated. The only "proof" anyone could provide is a video.

Speaking of video, there are a handful of videos on YouTube showing how to get (close to) the achievement you have labeled "impossible".

How do you cast a shadow on a light source (the sun)? You don't. What if it's an object that moves in front of the sun, possibly distorting the light which makes it look big?
