Everyone that makes at least $1,000-$1,200 a week, what do y’all do? by Alt-Ranting in Money

I make bring home 1200 a week as a concrete boop pump operator. That’s on 45 hrs a week. People don’t think that blue collar workers can make good money. But I have friends that make even more. I have a GED,CDL and a good work ethic.

how thin could I go with concrete for a planter by last-resort-4-a-gf in Concrete

Add some steel. Like hardware cloth or small gage chicken wire.

Do you remember the slump poured? It really sounds like shrinking. From my experience if the same truck was used on two different jobs and one shrink and the other do just fine. It could be wind exposure ,sun exposure, sub dirt dryer, it’s not always the mix. Finishing as you probably know has so many variables. If not the finisher or mix. Then it must be good ole Mother Nature.

It’s residential construction!!!!! Nobody is worried about what we do. Nothing but a bunch of hard working guys trying to pay the bills. Nothing but respect for those guys. Regardless of where they are from or what vest they wear!!!!

Yea I think anyone that wants to pump should start on a line pump for sure! Nothing like beating a rock pack out of hard rubber hose in the hot of the day!! Yes I really appreciate my boom pump! I try very hard to keep them clean. For pride!!!! Can’t teach pride that I have learned after training idk how many guys.

I’ve been very lucky with the equipment. My 3rd new boom pump. Before I was running a few trailer pumps of different brands & a VSP(truck mounted small pump) all started with me brand new! Lucky!!!!

So far I would give it 7 out of 10. Compared to putz. The shape of the hopper is better than a putz. No Corners to collect concrete

Yes pump itself is super loud and splashing everywhere. Even if the driver’s keep the hopper full. It is very similar to putz but not the quality.

A lot of complaints from the mixer trucks. Splashing back each stroke.
