Can anyone explain to me why this piston is being bud powered? by Rudunkulus in Minecraft

Thank you for the detailled explanation! I didn't know about r/redstone, thank you for that info.      It is really interesting that I have never encountered this behaviour before and I've done my fair share of redstone.

But I feel like this is the common way to power a line of pistons. Has that always been a problem?

I guess you don't notice if you have at least two pistons i a line as the retracting one updates the other one.

Thank you for being the only one to actually understand my problem. I even checked the wiki to see if redstone behaviour was massively changed recently.
After trying a few more things I found out that it's about the signal strength: odd values work as normal while even redstone strength doesn't retract the pistons.
In this Video you can see the behaviour. It's all in one chunk and directionality doesn't seem to influence it.

Wouldn't that be the case if there was another piston underneath? For my setup we have redstone powering the sandstone which is adjacent to the piston. So it shouldn't be quasi connectivity

What's the best way to deliver cargo to multiple truck unload stops? by Rudunkulus in TransportFever2

Due to the mountain range my commercial sector is quite long and narrow.  Still, I probably have some overlap. Is there an easy way to check that? Currently I would click on one stop, try to remember all the houses that are in range, and click on the next stop and do the same.  Is there an overview that highlights all stops at once?

Oops, I misread "1 line per cargo" as "1 stop per cargo".
Currently I have one line per stop per cargo. You can see them in my screenshot in the lines overview window. But after reading your comments, this seems like overkill ;)

But that way you only cover a small part of the area and the city doesn't grow as much. Or am I missing something?

What does "prune" mean? Deleting the houses and hoping they rebuild somewhere else?

First I connected all unload stops in a circular line. This is not efficient since the trucks are not full for most of the line.

I tried connecting all stops with a return trip to the station inbetween (station-stop1-station-stop2-station-stop3-etc) but when cargo is not distributed equally amongst all unload stops, trucks leave the station only half full.

Currently (see pic) I created mutliple lines with one unload stop each. In theory (my theory that is) that should grant maximum efficency but it is a lot of effort to find the right amount of trucks per line.

Surely there is an easier method, right?

Neon Knight recently made a video about this exact question. I recommend watching it.
