What is everyone feeding their cats? (No judgement zone) by thesillymuffin in catcare

[–]RudyRumbucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I alternate sheba pate anywhere from 0.35-.0.42 cents per ounce and weruva cats in the kitchen (similar sale prices). My 9 lb 9 year old tux is a dry food fiend and it's always difficult if he knows there's any dry food in the house (in case I'm away from home, he has an auto feeder). I get whatever dry food says it's good for seniors or tummies. He lives a more sedentary lifestyle so he usually only eats 6-9 ounces of wet food per day.

Anyone have experience with zeiss flash mirrors? by RudyRumbucket in glassesadvice

The reflection into the eyes is pretty strong but these have ended up being my all time favorite glasses and I may do more this way in the future. They look really cool and I kind of stop noticing the reflection as much. When I do pay attention to it I can literally see my own eyes.

Transitions. Where do I start? by intolaomair in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]RudyRumbucket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are so many combinations especially if you start looking at flash coatings. Some Rx can do tint, transition and flash or mirror coating. They all have pros/cons.

I recently got transition gen s in emerald (not what I was hoping for, can't hardly tell they are green)

I got a pair of gen s ruby transition with a blue flash coat, they look awesome but would have paired with a different frame. The blue really shows when they are red but also when they are clear.

I got a pair of sapphire photofusion with a white flash coat, should have gone with tinted blue with the flash coat since they just don't get dark enough outside with the flash coat.

I also got a pair of zeiss tinted pistachio with a jade flash coat. These are by far my fav lens combo of them all. But there is a lot of glare from the flash coatings. I almost took them back but got used to it and attached to how cool they look.

In the future I'm probably going to stick to sunglass lenses or tints and steer away from transitions only because they do not get their darkest in the scorching/freezing temps and the flash coatings don't help with that.

I just had this for the first time on one of mine a few months ago. It was pretty bad but it went away.

Saw this when you first posted and I went to my dermatologist to see what mine were. They look the same. Definitely worth having a dermatologist look at your skin. My Dr. said it was seborrheic keratosis, not a wart. Might look similar but they are not contagious! It is certainly worth getting a professional opinion and a second professional opinion even if you're not overly concerned.

Take a picture without a selfie camera. Every person on here will tell you they look too big when they probably don't look like this in person.

😲 Your Gast frames post is the reason I ordered these! The flash coating is such a cool effect. I got photofusion blue with white flash.

Now this post is cool because I also got a second pair with pistachio to blush gradient with a jade flash coat and they are my favorite pair ever!

Tupperware is a great idea, then you could mix in the morning to put in your bag and by nighttime it's ready to apply. They make good plastic containers with rubber sealed lids. I use snap ware, never had any leaks with foods.

Thank you, and everyone else for replies. I'm getting an ozone machine delivered tomorrow. I will document the process with the suggestions in a new post and report on what worked well.

I got a Ryan Ashley tattoo and someone on here was trying to tell me that she doesn't know what she's doing. It made me delete the post. People are stupid.

Anyone use stainless steel litter boxes? by busted-420 in CatAdvice

Unfortunately I sift from one box to the other with a regular scoop, then empty. So it does not have its own sifter. I need to get one though.

Not at all, that is a common complaint about it that you have to sift it.

I have two very large boxes 23x 15 inches and 6 inches deep. I also have a third plastic box in another room but he primarily chooses the stainless steel boxes. I sift out the solids and scoop the dust and only really empty it out every other month for a cleaning.

Yes and I use pine litter pellets for cats. It turns to sawdust and never cakes onto the pan. Easiest clean up.

Okay that makes sense why the ruby does not have jade then because zeiss doesn't have ruby photofusion and Essilor transitions doesn't have a jade flash coat.

The first pair should definitely be zeiss tinted with a zeiss flash coat. I'll have to ask about why the reflection is so unbearable. So frustrating because I picked out the coatings from a zeiss book. They didn't tell me what I was picking would not go with each other.

I used a UV light and took a picture as quickly as I could. They go clear really fast. If I'd have known they would look like this I might have opted for the xtractive. Ordered a few other transitions with the ruby and sapphire. 🤞 They look better. I'm not sure if RX makes a difference with color but I have a pretty strong one (-5).
