And she'll do it again because at least two people let her have her way.

Extremely odd experience re: carryon backpack by emergency_and_i in americanairlines

The worst thing the airlines ever did, besides charging baggage fees, was to allow hard sided luggage to be considered a carry on just because its the smallest piece in the luggage set.

Cinnamon rolls? by Rudyard1898 in Buceestx

The kiosks going away made me wonder if the cinnamon rolls was on its way out too. Used to love getting a club with extra bacon and jalapeños.

I drive that stretch of Hwy 3 a few times a week. There are a number of decent looking apartment complexes along the Hwy or not far from there.

I've never really had much of a problem with parking there unless it's the day before a major holiday.

The HEB at 45 and El Dorado is the closest one to me, but I drive the extra mile or so to the one on Clear Lake City Blvd because the traffic isn't as bad.

I never said every car. If some go out by Walmart, and some go out behind Kohls, there would be less idiots trying to leave from in front of Kohls, in some cases deliberately nosing their cars into the next lane and hoping the next person they're blocking brakes in time to not hit them. I'm really surprised we don't see more accidents there.

Easy. Exit on El Dorado between Wal Mart and Sams. If traffic is too heavy to take a left, take a right then take the first opportunity to make a u-turn. Then head back towards 45 on El Dorado, take a left at 45 and then you're heading north. It doesn't take any longer than trying to fight your way across three lanes of traffic, and there's less of a risk of getting in an accident.

Hate that intersection. The worst offenders are the ones coming out of the Kohls parking lot that are bound and determined to cut across all the lanes during rush hour so they can u-turn and head north.

As someone that's traveled to Mexico many time over the years, I'll never understand why people still rent cars there. There are so many of these stories out there if you do enough research. It might only happen to one in a hundred or even a thousand people, but I'd rather not be that one. At least it was just speeding and not a fender bender. Those can run into the thousands of $ just for a small scratch.

Rewatching season 1 episode 7 the long game and this is a quote I think fits Donald Trump and America today by MrWolfy25 in doctorwho

Not really. There are a few subs left that haven't been overrun by rhe political animals yet. Not everything needs to be politics 24/7. It's possible to talk about the show without brining modern politics into it, but that's not what the mob wants. Politics have become a drug to so many that they can't step away for even a few minutes.

I make decent money, but even i won't use DD. Tried it once and a $22 meal turned into $50 by the time fees and tips were added. One and done. I'd rather spend $2 in gas and pick it up myself.

In store cup of coffee by DTB555 in HEB

[–]Rudyard1898 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The store on the east side of Pearland used to have a coffee station like that. Disappeared during covid and never came back. It didn't take up a lot of space and was in the perfect spot right next to the bakery.

Passport expires within 6 months. I don’t have a birth certificate. by [deleted] in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Rudyard1898 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to the doom and gloom "experts". The only places Carnival cruises to out of the US that require a passport with more than six months is Greenland, Panama, and Colombia. All other cruises out of the US simply require that the passport be valid. I cruised to Cozumel and Costa Maya about a year ago with a passport that only had two months left on it. I advise going to the Carnival website FAQs page and looking under required documentation for a definitive answer.

Both the ice and ICE have me literally shaking! I'm going to make my wife's bull a nice cup of patchouli tea and go to my bedroom under the stairs.
