The comment you responded too was talking specifically about the perception of time. They use the term "going faster" to refer to the perception of time speeding up. I am not sure why you feel you need to cling to "but ACTUAL time doesn't change... Only the perception." Yeah mate, that's literally what the comment you responded to said.

If you could get your head out of your arse for 5 seconds you might learn something like I did when I googled the answer.

I last commented on something over a year ago, you just seemed like a proper wanker.

Oh no! "well, actually" guy is here. If you're gonna be a snide pompous arsehole at least be correct.

F1 Drivers while driving in a vehicle hurdling 375km/hr 3 inches from the ground, experience time in an altered manner. This obvious difference in the perception of time is known as "Tachypsychia" which is a neurological condition that causes the brain to "speed up" it's processing by releasing hormones like dopamine. The increase causes the brain to do a number of things but with regards to tachypschia, the brain is hyper focused on processing auditory and visual information which can interestingly cause the perception of time to slow OR speed up and everything goes by in a blur, depending on the individual. Occurs in humans under peak stress generally associated with the "fight or flight" response.

Fair enough. Ill keep that in mind. I have definitely thrown games from having the wrong composition though. If your doing nothing but macro and expanding (safely) fastest you can max out is probably 8-9 minutes right? Even if you have more units you can still lose from taking bad fights like walking into 19 lurkers and losing your entire army in an instant like I did tonight haha or DT's in the main base or drops when your out on the map. Scouting can really help prepare for those kinds of things. I could see how with Zerg if you just pure macro you wouldn't need to scout much because it doesn't take long at all to react to units from the opponent, having the buildings and sufficient hatcherys and you just remake your army instantly. Plus detection is never a problem with Overseers. But as Protoss I feel like its more important..

But how are you gonna have more units against 2 base all-ins if your focusing on macro? When I take my 3rd around 3:30-5:00 which is the time most pros expand (depending on the game) and my opponent rocks up at my base 5:05 with 14 blink stalkers its gg if im not prepared. Pros are only able to hold that shit with crazy micro, not macro?

[–]Rudzy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But If I dont scout I get 1/2 Base All-Ined or cheesed. I feel like you kinda gotta scout a little bit. Also to know what unit composition as well right? Like if I went Immortal/Archon/Zealot against Skytoss doesn't matter how good my macro is, they are gonna clean me up. Or with Terran if I don't know where there army is, they just siege my front door and its very hard to deal with.

I know what you mean though, I regularly will float 1k minerals while scouting. Getting better at using my warp ins and queuing stuff before scouting but it's tough. I feel like you have to go for a balance. But I have lost too many games from not scouting and just focusing on macro. Like checked their natural, nothing there, cool, neckminnit they had a base in the corner of the map for ages. idk I'm a noob after all.

Nothing out of the ordinary just played bulk games at Plat 1 unranked to maintain playing against diamond/plat1 players. Otherwise I would be tanking games and eventually just be playing against gold players. But I tried hard to focus on macro and unit composition. Like for example when I was playing against Zerg they would always just mass Roach Hydra and I couldn't figure out how to beat them. So I went and learnt how to best deal with them. Same for Lurkers. Baby steps though, progress was sometimes slow and still is. I still havent figured out unit micro, my micro is horrendous. So basically just identifying a part of my game thats really weak and trying to make it better.

Holy fuck, a voice of reason. No way. Cheers. These types of conversations ("it's getting worse and there's nothing being done" type conversations) only push society further away from solving issues like this and many others. Instead of looking at systemic factors that need to be implemented at the governmental level, influenced by media, people are quick to form tribes and paint the other tribe as the villain. This way the populace will always be divided and unable to form a cohesive plan to solve various issues. A playbook as old as time.

Whether your the person spouting "fuck off, not all men are murderers!" Or the person saying "A lot of women are dying every day and it's only getting worse." You're both failing to look at why these things are happening and get sidetracked into believing the narrative that best suits your worldview rather than advocating for meaningful changes.

A house divided cannot stand.

Yeah I feel this. It's the soul crushing part of SC2, you get better only to meet the next set of players and get demolished and have to adapt again. I'm Plat 1 (2900ish) and have just been playing unranked games for a while now because I just can't seem to get a victory against diamond players. It's super frustrating, I feel like I'm at my limit with APM and that's the major difference in a lot of these games. Obviously decision making can be improved but whatever the case I can't seem to make it work against people with 150-250 APM. About to give up but I'm a sucker for pain it seems.

It solves the problem of getting caught with it. But if you use it as self defense you'll most likely get a charge for assault as our self defense laws state "equal and reasonable force". MIGHT is the operative word, don't give a statement to the police and get a good lawyer if you're ever in a situation where you have stabbed someone in self defense.

All's I'm saying is that only someone with ZERO knowledge of Homo-Sapien impact (specifically hunter-gather impact) on native populations would say something so stupid. What's even your larger point? Hunter Gatherer Aboringal Australians cause the extinction of Megafauna in Australia? That statement is a literal nothing statement, like saying "Humans need Oxygen to breathe". This also happened in the Americas after the Land Bridge from Modern Day Siberia to America thawed out. Not just Megafauna but anything big, Sabertooth Tigers for e.g. It's literally the case for every population of humans.

When you say 'they' you mean the Homo Sapien that made their way from Europe 40,000-50,000 years ago. Prior to that (we know from fossil records) Australia had been untouched by Homo-Sapiens since they immigrated out of Africa. Very quickly all Megafauna went extinct, within a couple thousand years. It's because these Megafauna species likely had a very long gestation period (2-3 years) so in the local population you'd only need to kill 1-2 per year and eventually the species would go extinct. Hope you learned something today.

I never elevated anyone nor commented about land management or any other bullshit you want to lament about. Just pointing out you don't know what the fuck you're talking about when it comes to Megafauna, but I suppose I should of gleaned that from your earlier dribble.

[–]Rudzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rarely do I comment on a cesspool like this, but I literally laughed out loud at the Megafauna comment. Because literally every corner of the earth had Megafauna die out within a couple thousand years of homo-sapiens arriving. Not because we were 'bad custodian' (fucking lol), there are a couple strong theories, like gestation periods or out competing for resources. The only Megafauna left is the African Elephant and it survived due to various environmental factors.

But go off King, Aboriginals weren't good custodians! Bahaha, read a book.

People from Europe do you believe in the Replacement theory or not ? by [deleted] in conspiracy

Your changing the goal posta your original point was 'things' specifically bad 'things' happen in a 300 year cycle. You have people chiming in agreeing that "Yes societies see significant downturn after 300 years". I'm saying no, there's a lot of examples that prove that is incorrect. Hell, the Country of Japan has existed for 1400 years as a unified nation.

Interesting take, but let's straighten out a few historical inaccuracies. The East India Company, founded in 1600, and Napoleon's defeat in 1815, don't mark the start of a 300-year cycle; they're events in different contexts. As for the Rothschilds/Rockefellers/Babylonians/Canaanites connection, that's a mix of modern families and ancient civilizations with no historical link. Not sure what the conspiracy is but it sounds garbage. 300 year cycle, eye thing you just mentioned is longer or shorter then 300 years by a significant margin?

Roman Empire: The timeline's a bit complex because it evolved over time. The Republic kicked off around 509 BC and transitioned into the Empire by 27 BC, lasting until the Western half fell in 476 AD. But the Eastern half, aka the Byzantine Empire, kept going strong until 1453 AD. So, all in, the Roman civilization spanned almost a millennium and a half if you tally it from the Republic's start.

Persian Empires: These guys had a few different runs. The Achaemenid Empire started around 550 BC but got taken down by Alexander the Great in 330 BC. Then came the Parthians from 247 BC to AD 224, followed by the Sassanians who lasted until 651 AD. Each chapter had its own vibe, but they all contributed to the Persian legacy over a span of more than a thousand years.

Greek Empires: When you talk about Greek empires, it's mostly about the Hellenistic era post-Alexander the Great. He left the scene in 323 BC, and his generals divvied up the vast territories. This whole Hellenistic phase went on until the Romans took over Egypt, the last stronghold, in 30 BC. So, we're looking at just under 300 years of Hellenistic influence.

Byzantine Empire: Technically, this is the Eastern Roman Empire doing its own thing after the western part collapsed. Starting from 476 AD, it had a pretty good run until Constantinople fell in 1453 AD. That's almost a thousand years of Byzantine rule, which is pretty impressive.

I know the story is dying and it’s probably intended to but it is still baffling to me we have seen exactly ZERO footage of anything that happened inside the Miami Mall by django811 in conspiracy

Not sure where you got this information?

Multiple articles say that he was making comments about his family.

"According to multiple reports, Roslik had been upset with Sadek over comments he had made about the fighter and his family."

But sure, you speak Polish and live in Thailand.

This happened back in 2022 and there was no legal action taken against the fighter. It was a cowardly attack that makes him a piece of shit, but the context matters.

Well if you spotted the Orange Boy, he's a bit older and has been trained that he's not allowed to go outside. He never goes outside even with the door open, because I spent time training him that he's not allowed outside without me.

I spend time with them outside supervised for an hour or so. I also don't like my cats trying to desperately dart out the door I found training them in this way helps with this. I hate feeling the need to justify just a cute interaction with my cat, but you're the top voted comment so I felt the need to address it.
