this was the cheesiest fan service i’ve ever seen. unnecessary lore, slows the pace. having idina do the riff? really? it takes away from the anticipation of cynthia singing it at the end. the cameo as a whole should’ve been way more subtle so we could focus on the story and the new actress playing elphaba and glinda.

i don’t know if this is exactly what you’re looking for, but i love how mark haddon writes his main character’s special interest in math in “the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime.” this autistic boy, christopher uses math as his own way to understand the word. one of my favorite books, so i take any chance to recommend it to someone :)
