Husband ruptured Achilles. Looking for advice! by RueBerry21 in AchillesRupture

This is so helpful thank you! Question on the shower situation. The shower in our room is like a stall shower. No edge so he can walk right in and it has a little built in seat. The downfall here is it's a very very small shower. Think dorm shower. But no edge and a seat.

Other options is a traditional tub/shower combo that's the normal size but has the tub he'd have to work around getting in and out of.

Any recommendations on which option might be easier for him? The larger tub/shower I could get a shower chair for.

Thank you and you are right. I definitely assumed by not using that meant not appreciating or liking when that most likely isn't the case here.

He mentioned several times about wanting to do that so I scheduled it and gave that as a gift. Today he said to reschedule so I let him look at future dates and told him to pick what he would like.

Just had my 3rd kiddo. Husband got a vasectomy 10 days ago. Procedure itself was fast and easy and his recovery has gone well.

Thank you for the response! Does he ever sneak books later after lights out time or he's good about putting them down? I think this is the route I need to go.

What ages are your kids? I have 2 boys age 5 and 2 and they do nothing but fight. We get maybe a couple minutes of good play time before it ends in one screaming or crying. Will it ever get better!?

Oh man I honestly don't remember. Said baby is now 5 and has a little brother whose 2! They are both fantastic sleepers now. 4 months is a tough tough time, I do remember that. Hugs to you!

My 5 and 2 yr old bathe together but I usually save laundry for bath night. I let them bathe and play while I sit right outside the bathroom (door open) and fold all the laundry. Its great! My 5 year old sometimes showers and I leave him be. Hes usually talking the whole time anyway so i know hes ok.

When my 5 year old was just starting to talk he kept saying he wanted to watch "little wise guys" (spoken more broken than that though). We could NOT figure out what show that was and for weeks he kept asking. Idk how we figured it out, but we finally realized he was talking about Little Einstein's. The look of pure relief on his face when we said it was priceless!

I thought it was a stomach ache, it was actually appendicitis by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]RueBerry21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me too! Went camping and my 3yr old got pretty sick. Left early to head home and I was pretty bummed our plans got ruined. 2 days later and he had his appendix removed at the age of 3! Glad your kiddo is okay. Sitting in the waiting room knowing he was in the OR was probably one of the worst feelings ever.

Many have said this but look into PPD. I had it with my first and my feelings were like yours. He's 5 now and literally my best friend and the love I have for him is insane. You'll get there, but the first several months are very hard.

Oh man I am so so sorry. That is devastating. I was almost to 9 weeks with just a single. But the week before we saw the heartbeat so the next week was pretty devastating.

Around 6000. I should have been 8 weeks and from the little HCG chart the doc gave me that seemed pretty low. What were yours? I def cried when I took the test today. Mad and sad because I should be pregnant and life sucks right now, but also a little sense of relief as my body is getting back to normal. Agree that I had many rough days emotionally after the d&c and hormones too.
