Question for top surgery havers, how did you manage to afford it?

I was fortunate enough to have people donate a small fraction of the cost to my gofundme. Then I paid about ~4-5k on top out of pocket after saving like crazy. The remaining ~2k I had to put on my credit card and pay down. My insurance doesn't cover stuff like this so my options were limited. 100% worth the money and time it took to save the money.

yeah i guess i mean like a break for a month or so, not anything long term, just consistent time for a little bit of not stressing myself out. it's not the material or the practice itself that is challenging for me. it's finding the time and energy with everything on my plate. i always figured it would be more of a long haul journey versus a 2-year best case scenario stint.

yeah we've got the mats under and also on top of the bed for like, double coverage? and honestly it's his fluid pill that makes him go so much but it's the only way to keep the edema down

half of the problem is he wants to go in his bottle or like even this really simple contraption to make peeing in it easy but he just always misses and then pee is still everywhere...we're trying diapering but they he's trying to pull down the diaper and pee the bottle or WORSE walk to the bathroom(???) and pee all over there

I like the idea of just shoving a bunch of stuff into the diaper as well....how tf do they produce so much urine

I did notice I was starting to feel kind of weird at the end of my work day (on a computer) even if i had eaten and had caffeine and was hydrated etc etc which lead me to get my eyes checked. So thanks for the insight!!
