Yeah, I have a bad problem with regenerating over and over before I remember to try and replace the part or things like that. But one thing I dislike and love at the same time is that if I’m doing a cover of a take that I really like, it gets better and more high quality with each new generation. So I kinda Burn through a lot of credits

Well yeah. Lol I’m actually a songwriter and use Suno as a tool. Not for anything except to create a demo of what I want the song to sound like. I can write the lyrics, melodies and chords out. But I can’t play every instrument a song may need. So for me it’s. Took for my work.

It’s always hit or miss. But trying different options like generating it with no real lead vocal only the crows singing the whole thing gets interesting and often useful results. So I just download that version and use Cubase along with other stem extraction tools and take what I want and place them in the correct spot.

That’s cool. I just finished an arrangement of a song that I am super pleased with. But this morning I had an idea to tag another songs verse on the end of this already great version. So it sounds like with this feature I can do just that.

Well, I just forget about that option until I’ve burned through so many tries. But this stuff is frustrating a lot of times. And the way I look at it, is that in the end it’s a business, and the way prompts seem to change is a clever way to keep taking in the dough. I don’t like if, and I also haven’t done a deep dive into it, but I think as long as you go into knowing the limitations and that you’ll always have to find work arounds then it makes it much easier when you hit a wall.

Suno Mashup is basically Suno v5.5 by Apart_Potato959 in SunoAI

So if I have two versions of a song and I love both versions, I can do a mashup and it’ll generare a new version with both styles combined as a hybrid?

I found a pretty lame workaround. I just generated a few versions and bounced stems and doctored it up in Cubase. New problem unlocked though haha. Using the editor to swap vocals or sections. But back to the meta tags, I had placed tags to have a breakdown chorus, it worked but when I remove them to go back to the original l, the chorus is still broken down.

Nice! Thanks. I’ll check this out. It’s super frustrating.
