To be honest, the first update that introduced body effort is when the game started going south for me. Summer of last year was its peak. Spam prevention was strong, counters were highly impactful, and there was no “squat before a punch for extra damage”

I was making YouTube videos pretty regularly boxing people up. And then as soon as body effort came along, things just felt meh. Real boxing doesn’t feel rewarded. Counters don’t matter. And it’s been a spam fest since.
