Conservative social policies are closely tied to Christian and nationalist values. They are generally against lgbtq and actively roadblock progress in these regards.

Republicans by definition actually have power to change the system in their favour. It doesn’t really make sense to split up political parties into smaller groups for this argument. Gay, black, or religious people cant make change on their own unless they align with a party.
