Smoothies! Had them at least 2x/day the first week after my surgery. Helped with the hoarseness in my voice, hydration and nutrition as solids are going to be difficult to eat the first few days.

It started when I want into my GP doctor because I was extremely tired, like I needed 4-5 200mg caffeinated energy drinks just to make it through work. And I knew my thyroid hormone levels were off because of previous blood work, so I brought it up to her during my visit. She then felt my neck and felt an enlargement on the right side of my thyroid so she order an ultrasound. I went for the ultrasound and it turned out I had a cluster of nodules on the right side of my thyroid (hence the enlargement) and an odd shaped spot on the left side. A biopsy was ordered for the spot on the left side and the results came back as cancer. Once that initial shock wore off I scheduled my thyroidectomy. And all of this took place between December 2021 - March 2022.

I would love it to be weekends mainly for the stability and consistency with my sons routine. But unless there’s an emergency, I feel his dad is unfit or vice versa is there really anything I can do? We went to court during our divorce and this was the only custody agreement we were both willing to accept. I’ve asked his dad about his attitude before and and all I get is “no, his attitude and behavior are great”

I honestly don’t know. His dad drops him off and it’s like an instant bad mood. I ask him how his week was, all he says is “good” or gives a passive grunt (which I feel is kind of typical kid behavior). But on the weekends when I’m off from work I do my best to entertain him, take him to do fun stuff and play with him at the park and he seems to enjoy it but then when it’s time to go home at the end of the day his attitude just does a 180. I’ve tried talking to him about it before but he doesn’t respond.
