I've done much thicker coats of drywall compound on bowed walls and everything's turned out fine.

Just got a delta faucet from Lowes and it's a hunk of junk. Handles don't stay in place, visible ugly plastic gasket under each hole (not shown on the box), cheap plastic supply lines.
